The wealth of this age is a gift, yet it is never a foundation. God alone is the giver and sustainer, so our hearts are safest when anchored in His unchanging character. Genuine security releases us from hoarding and frees us to enjoy and share what He entrusts.

For this reason, even though I suffer as I do, I am not ashamed; for I know whom I have believed, and I am convinced that He is able to guard what I have entrusted to Him for that day. — 2 Timothy 1:12

God's ability is the settled ground of Christian confidence. He guards what we entrust to Him, supplies grace beyond our asking, and strengthens us in temptation because Christ Himself suffered. Surely for my own welfare I had such great anguish; but Your love has delivered me from the pit of oblivion, for You have cast all my sins behind Your back. — Isaiah 38:17

For your husband is your Maker—the LORD of Hosts is His name—the Holy One of Israel is your Redeemer; He is called the God of all the earth. — Isaiah 54:5

The covenantal union between Christ and the church transforms the believer's identity from isolation to permanent belonging. This relationship secures a standing before God defined by His active delight rather than human performance. By clothing the believer in His own righteousness, God establishes an unbreakable bond that transcends earthly circumstances.

Christ's cry of abandonment reflects the Father's uncompromising holiness in the face of human rebellion. Confidence shifts from human weakness to the unchanging character of the One who sustains every step.

Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made the good confession before many witnesses. — 1 Timothy 6:12

Victory in the good fight of faith belongs to God alone. Believers can face external pressures and internal fears because the Lord's sovereign power surrounds them.
