Grace does not just forgive sin—it trains the heart to hate it and pursue holiness. The same Spirit who brings life also supplies the power to kill the deeds of the flesh. God’s purpose in salvation is to create a people who are eager to do good, not out of duty but out of delight in Christ.

And this is that testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. — 1 John 5:11

Eternal life is not a future reward but a present reality found only in union with Jesus Christ. This delay does not signal divine absence but rather a purposeful extension of mercy toward a world in need of redemption. Living in light of this truth transforms the wait from a period of uncertainty into a season of active, expectant holiness.

and continually recalling before our God and Father your work of faith, your labor of love, and your enduring hope in our Lord Jesus Christ. — 1 Thessalonians 1:3

Present suffering is not wasted—it is being transformed into a weight of glory that will outlast every tear. The God who ordains the trial also guarantees its end. Every hardship now is a light and momentary affliction working toward an eternal inheritance that cannot be dimmed or taken away.
