Though we can see Jesus we might miss him if we aren’t careful because he isn’t what we are expecting. Because of this, we must see the real Jesus by allowing him to frame our reality.

The heart of God is the heart of a servant and we as God’s children should have this same heart…the heart of a servant.

The Bible compares a healthy disciple (follower) of Jesus to a tree. The root system of that tree, which keeps us standing during the storms of life, is our identity. If our identity is rooted in who we are in Christ, our tree will be able to stand. If our identity is rooted in anything else, we will fall.

A healthy disciple is like a tree that delights in Christ and is deeply rooted in their union with him so they are unmoved by the storms of life. It is a life of wisdom where someone listens to Christ, lives Christ's teaching and helps others do the same.

Jesus has freed us and given us a new heart that seeks to put to death our old manner of life.

We should be overwhelmed by God's plan for us and that we are objects of his divine love

God's presence is everywhere, and because we are united to him through Christ, we should live in 

God knows us so intimately, so thoroughly, that nothing that we think, speak, or do is hidden from God, this is terrifying. Yet, because of the person and work of Christ, we are surrounded on every side: he is with us and for us, this is delightful. 

We are to pray for and work in the church with the same desire and goal of Jesus, to see his bride, the church, be without spot or wrinkle.
