The entire Christian life is only properly understood when we view it through the lens of grace. True, amazing grace doesn't just save us at the last day, but it is also saving us in the here and now. But true, amazing grace is not just grace in the abstract- rather, grace as it appears and is embodied in a person, the Lord Jesus Christ.

God did not design the Christian life to be lived independently. Here, God calls each and every one of us to a particular role and duty in the body of Christ. And it's only when each member is functioning properly, that the body of Christ grows and builds itself up in love.

The Apostle Paul now gets to the root error of all false teaching and false teachers- the condition and state of the heart, out of which flow all the matters of life and doctrine --even if things aren't immediately visible on the surface.

Paul continues to apply the gospel to church leadership, here contrasting the godly elder -v5-9- with the opponents and false teachers in the church.

We were privileged to have guest preacher Pastor Brian Onstead speak at the installation service of new pastor-elder Rob Clay. Pastor Onstead opened up 2 Cor. and the ministry of life vs the ministry of death as a pastoral charge to our new pastor.

Wisdom- a call to recalibrate our hearts, it reveals God, it transforms lives, it delivers us from evil people, and it displays Christ.

Have the miraculous gifts of the Holy Spirit, such as speaking in tongues, prophecy, and gift of healing-miracles, ceased- Or should we expect to see this gifts active in the church today-
