If a church is all grace, and no truth, the gospel is lost in a sea of antinomianism. And if a church is all truth and no grace, the gospel will be lost in a mountain of legalism. But when grace and truth come together in the life of the church, there is a definite result of Godliness, purity, and a fruitful ministry. That's the essence of what we see in these closing verses- we see how the church is called to doctrinal purity and grace-filled living.
