What are the distinctions between the universal church and the local church body in relation to mission, if any-

The Gospel is the power of God unto salvation for all who believe in the Lord Jesus Christ alone. The need of every sinner is to have a right-standing with God. How can a righteous God pardon unrighteous sinners- This glorious truth of the gospel is explored and answered and fuels the growth and maturity of every Christian.

In Philippians 3, Paul describes his previous outward works of the law, according to man, with confidence centered on himself. But God gave grace to him, showing his need for an alien righteousness outside of himself and found only in Christ. How are we, too, to live before God by grace alone, through faith alone in Christ alone, depending upon Christ righteousness credited to every believer.

Jonah 3 portrays the marvelous gift of repentance to Nineveh. This gift originated with God, came thru the prophetic word of judgment, provoking repentant hearts city-wide, and God relents from the disaster He said He would do and did not do it.

The Christian's faithfulness is grounded in God's faithfulness and ours does not come from within us, but from our union with God through faith in Christ alone-

The fruit of regeneration is believing in the Lord Jesus Christ, loving God, loving other Christians, and even obeying God's commandments. The root of faith is God's grace, and the result is a transformed life by God's power that enables us to live for Him through the Holy Spirit.
