In this episode, Pastor Nate Schrimp teaches on Acts chapters 6, 7 and 8. He starts with chapter 6 and an introduction to Stephen and the reason for his arrest. Then, in chapter 7, he describes Stephen's defense against false accusations being brought against him. In this section, Stephen turns the tables on the Jewish leaders and accuses them of being the ones who are truly rejecting God and His Spirit. After he is martyred, we are introduced to man named Saul and a great persecution against the early church forces the believers to scatter to surrounding areas of Judea and Samaria. Pastor Nate finishes the teaching by pointing out that what the enemy intended for evil, God used for good and the result was the spreading of the good news about Jesus to the whole earth.

Jesus told his disciples, as recorded in the Gospel of John, that it would be better for them if Jesus were to leave the world in order that the Holy Spirit might come into the world and fill his followers. In these first 11 verses, we see Jesus remind the disciples to wait for the gift of the Holy Spirit and to become his witnesses in Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria and to the ends of the earth.
