If you are the Son of God, come down from the cross.Mat 27:41  In like manner also the chief priests with the Scribes and elders mocked him, saying:Mat 27:42  He saved others; he cannot save himself. If he is the King of Israel, let him now come down from the cross, and we will believe in him.Mat 27:43  He trusts in God, let Him deliver him now- if He desires him. For he said: I am the Son of God.Mat 27:44  And the robbers also that were crucified with him cast upon him the same reproach.Mat 27:45  Now from the sixth hour there was darkness over all the land until the ninth hour.Mat 27:46  And about the ninth hour, Jesus cried with a loud voice: Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? That is, My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?

He is not God of the dead, but of the living.Mat 22:33  And when the crowds heard it, they were astonished at his teaching. A Pharisee Lawyer Tries to Trap Jesus – The Greatest CommandmentMat 22:34  But when the Pharisees heard that he had put the Sadducees to silence, they gathered together.Mat 22:35  And one of them, a lawyer, asked him a question, testing him:Mat 22:36  Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the law?Mat 22:37  And he said to him: You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.Mat 22:38  This is the great and first commandment.Mat 22:39  And the second is like it: You shall love your neighbour as yourself.Mat 22:40  On these two commandments hang the whole law and the prophets. Jesus Tests the Pharisees – Who is the Son of David?Mat 22:41  Now while the Pharisees were gathered together, Jesus asked them a question, saying:Mat 22:42  What do you think of the Christ? Whose son is he? They said to him: The son of David.Mat 22:43  He said to them: How then does David in the Spirit call him Lord, saying:Mat 22:44  The Lord said to my Lord, sit at my right hand until I put your enemies underneath your feet.Mat 22:45  If David then calls him Lord, how is he his son?Mat 22:46  And no one could say a word in reply. From that day nobody dared to ask him any other questions.

Are you able to drink the cup that I am about to drink? They said to him: We are able.Mat 20:23  He said to them: You shall drink my cup indeed - but to sit on my right hand and on my left hand, is not mine to give, but it is for those for whom it has been prepared by my Father.Mat 20:24  And when the ten heard it, they were moved with indignation concerning the two brothers.Mat 20:25  But Jesus called them to himself, and said: You know that the rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them and their great ones exercise authority over them.Mat 20:26  It shall not be so among you. But whoever would be great among you- must be your servant.Mat 20:27  And whoever would be first among you shall be your slave.Mat 20:28  Even as the Son of Man came not to be ministered to, but to minister, and to give his life as a ransom for many. Jesus Heals Two Determined Blind MenMat 20:29  And as they went out from Jericho, a great crowd followed him.Mat 20:30  And two blind men who were sitting by the way side, when they heard that Jesus was passing by, cried out, saying: Lord, have mercy on us, you Son of David.Mat 20:31  And the crowd rebuked them, that they should hold their peace; but they cried out the more, saying, Lord, have mercy on us, you Son of David!Mat 20:32  And Jesus stood still and called them, and said: What do you desire I do for you?Mat 20:33  They said to him: Lord, that our eyes may be opened.Mat 20:34  And Jesus, being moved with compassion, touched their eyes; and immediately they received their sight and followed him.

Let us see whether Elijah comes to save him.Mat 27:50  And Jesus cried again with a loud voice and yielded up his spirit.Mat 27:51  And the veil of the temple was torn in two from the top to the bottom; and the earth quaked and the rocks were split.Mat 27:52  And the tombs were opened and many bodies of the saints that had fallen asleep were raised,Mat 27:53  and coming forth out of the tombs after his resurrection they entered into the holy city and appeared to many.Mat 27:54  Now the centurion and those that were with him watching Jesus, when they saw the earthquake and the things that happened, were terrified, saying: Truly this was the Son of God.Mat 27:55  And many women were there watching from afar, those who had followed Jesus from Galilee, ministering to him.Mat 27:56  Among whom were Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James and Joses, and the mother of the sons of Zebedee. Jesus is Buried Mat 27:57  And when evening had come, there came a rich man from Arimathaea, named Joseph, who also was a disciple of Jesus.Mat 27:58  This man went to Pilate and asked for the body of Jesus. Then Pilate commanded it to be given him.Mat 27:59  And Joseph took the body and wrapped it in a clean linen cloth,Mat 27:60  and laid it in his own new tomb, which he had hewn out in the rock; and he rolled a great stone as the door of the tomb, and departed.Mat 27:61  And Mary Magdalene was there and the other Mary, sitting opposite the tomb.Mat 27:62  Now the next day, which is the day after the Preparation, the chief priests and the Pharisees gathered together before Pilate,Mat 27:63  saying: Sir, we remember that that deceiver said when he was still alive, After three days I will rise again.Mat 27:64  Therefore, command that the tomb be made secure until the third day, lest his disciples come and steal him away and say to the people, He is risen from the dead; and so the last error will be worse than the first.

And he goes. And to another: Come! And he comes. And to my servant: Do this! And he does it.Mat 8:10  When Jesus heard this, he was astonished and said to those following him: Truly I say to you, I have not found anyone in Israel with such great faith.Mat 8:11  And I say to you, that many shall come from the east and the west and shall sit down with Abraham and Isaac and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven,Mat 8:12  but the sons of the kingdom shall be cast into the outer darkness. There shall be the weeping and the gnashing of teeth.Mat 8:13  And Jesus said to the centurion: Go your way. As you have believed, so it is done for you. And the servant was healed in that hour. Jesus Heals Many Sick PeopleMat 8:14  And when Jesus had entered Peter's house, he saw his wife's mother lying sick with a fever.Mat 8:15  And he touched her hand and the fever left her, and she arose and ministered to him.Mat 8:16  And when evening had come, they brought to him many possessed with demons, and he cast out the spirits with a word and healed all that were sick,Mat 8:17  so that it might be fulfilled which was spoken through Isaiah the prophet, saying: He took our infirmities and bore our diseases. Jesus Calms a Great Storm at SeaMat 8:18  Now when Jesus saw great crowds about him, he gave commandment to depart to the other side.Mat 8:19  And there came a scribe and said to him: Teacher, I will follow you wherever you go.Mat 8:20  And Jesus said to him: The foxes have holes and the birds of the sky have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay his head.Mat 8:21  And another of the disciples said to him: Lord, permit me first to go and bury my father.Mat 8:22  But Jesus said to him: Follow me, and leave the dead to bury their own dead.Mat 8:23  And when he had boarded a boat, his disciples followed him.Mat 8:24  And without warning, a furious storm arose on the sea, so much so that the boat was covered with the waves; but he slept.Mat 8:25  And they came to him and awoke him, saying: Save us Lord! Mat 7:8  For everyone that asks receives, and he that seeks finds, and to him that knocks it shall be opened.Mat 7:9  Which one of you, if his son asks him for bread, will give him a stone?Mat 7:10  Or if he shall ask for a fish, will give him a serpent?Mat 7:11  If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more shall your Father who is in heaven give good things to them that ask Him.Mat 7:12  Therefore, whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets. Jesus Teaches How to Test for Good and EvilMat 7:13  Enter in by the narrow gate, for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and many are they that enter in thereby.Mat 7:14  For narrow is the gate and straight the road that leads to life, but few are they that find it.

For the kingdom of heaven is at hand.Mat 4:18  And walking by the sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers, Simon who is called Peter and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea, for they were fishermen.Mat 4:19  And he said to them: Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.Mat 4:20  And they immediately left the nets and followed him.Mat 4:21  And going on from there he saw two other brothers, James the son of Zebedee and John his brother, in the boat with Zebedee their father, mending their nets; and he called them.Mat 4:22  And they immediately left the boat and their father and followed him. Jesus Heals ManyMat 4:23  And Jesus went about in all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues and preaching the gospel of the kingdom and healing all manner of disease and all manner of sickness among the people.Mat 4:24  Then his fame went throughout all Syria; and they brought to him all sick people who were afflicted with various diseases and torments, and those who were demon possessed, epileptics, and paralytics; and he healed themMat 4:25  And great crowds followed him, those from Galilee and Decapolis and Jerusalem and Judea and from the other side of the Jordan.
