Jesus starts off his Sermon on the Mount by blessing those who are a part of his kingdom.

Jesus calls his followers the "salt of the earth" and the "light of the world." We are called to be salt and light on campus and in the world.

This semester we'll be studying Jesus' Sermon on the Mount recorded in Matthew 5-7. To introduce the sermon, we're starting at the end of the sermon where Jesus implores us to put his teachings into practice and, in so doing, build our lives upon a solid foundation.

As we approach Christmas, we look back on how the entire Old Testament reveals Jesus. God promised abundant life, victory over sin, and eternity with Him and has kept His promises through Christ.

In the Old Testament prophets, we discover God's purpose for our lives: acting justly, loving mercy, and walking humbly with God. Jesus lived this purpose perfectly and has set us free to do the same.

The Israelites returned from exile to the Promised Land and had some rebuilding and restoration to do. God has always been in the business of restoration, and He wants to meet you in your brokenness and make you whole.

Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego were in a foreign land and pressured to adopt the false religious beliefs of the Babylonians, yet they remained faithful to God. In the same way, we are called to live lives devoted to the Lord, not bowing to the idols on campus and in the world.

At a pivotal moment in Judah's history, Josiah pointed the nation back to God's Word through repentance. Because of Jesus, we too can live a life of repentance and conform to scripture.

Guest speaker T.J. Appleby encourages us to be like King David, who was willing to be undignified as he praised the Lord.

In spite of the northern kingdom's rebellion against God, Elijah lived a life of faithfulness. God was able to do incredible things through him.
