The year is 1139 and an enigmatic Irish bishop names Malachy has been summoned to Rome by Pope Innocent II. While in Rome, Malachy purportedly experienced  a vision of all 112 future Popes, which he later recorded in a manuscript sequenced in a series of cryptic phrases. 

This manuscript was then allegedly deposited in the Vatican Secret Archives and forgotten about until 1590. Fast forward to today 2025 and we have the current head of the Catholic Church Pope Francis taken ill with double phenomena. 

Could this be the last and final 112th Pope as some prophetic interpreters suggest? Or is all of this a silly conspiracy theory driven by a medieval forgery?
