She's well versed in theology and eschatological research. A woman of God Laura Baker spreads the word and shedding light on the Great Deception, from the serpent seed all the way through to the rise of a certain modern day ethno state.

I have wanted to interview Laura since I began listening to her 7 part series. She is a very warm and engaging person and was an absolute joy to finally meet face to face. We started off getting to know how Laura began her path and what got her started on her spiritual journey.

This week I have my recent guest appearance over on the Iowa Talk Guys Podcast. This episode was recorded prior to the US presidential election, I joined hosts Teepee and Mel to discuss the impending US presidential election and the inevitable creep towards WW3.

Voting has always been pitched to us as the way in which we have our say, a way we can have our voices heard and a means by which we can bring about societal and political change. 

But if voting really worked would they allow us to do it? For my American listeners you are smack bang in the middle of your upcoming election. Yet you have something we Aussies don't have, the right to engage or not. That's right for Aussies like my guest and I we are mandated to vote, it is a compulsory "civic duty". 

Recently Wade has had to do just that. Queensland has just had a state election with some status quo changing outcomes. To help me discuss the Queensland election results I am joined by the Tropical Canadian himself, my mate and yours, Wade.

Welcome back for another episode of You're Missen the Point Podcast. Today I have a fantastic collaboration with Julia from the Cosmic Peach Podcast. That's right Julia and I are back with another childhood favourite film breakdown of the 1989 dark comedy, thriller 'The Burbs'.

The Burbs written by Dana Olsen, directed by Joe Dante tells the story of a typical American neighbourhood, when new neighbours come to live in the house next to Ray Peterson (Tom Hanks). These new people are really strange, bobby has ever seen them, their house is a complete mess, and during the night weird noises keep coming from their basement.

The only thing they know is their name "Kopek". One day Walter (an elderly man from the neighbourhood) suddenly disappears under mysterious circumstances. Ray begins to question the Klopek's involvement while friend and fellow neighbour Art (Rick Ducommun) is convinced that the new family on the block is part of a murderous Satanic cult.

Julia and I will continue to breakdown our childhood favourites in the coming months, watch this space! Last breakdown was all about dark magic and witchcraft! We started off this episode sharing our general thoughts about The Burbs and how it made its way in as a favourite childhood film.
