Know Him
John 14:17 says even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
Renewing mind into a theocentric mindset to see everything in a God centred way. I want to encourage you with the attributes of God because it will revolutionize your Christian life.
Jeremiah 9:23 says, “Thus saith the LORD, let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his riches: but let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me, ….”
That’s the most important things in our life. Not what our personal assets are, not how strong we are or how much clout or influence we may have in the community, and not how much wisdom we may claim to have. The most important thing about us is we need to boast in this fact that we know God. And everything else is ripple effect that emanates out of the knowledge of God. Apostle Paul ever striving to know more about God and more of Christ. He say’s in Phil 3 verses 10 “that I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, _being made conformable unto his death._ …”
And, you would say now, _wait a min Paul, you just told us two verses earlier that, you came to know God in saving faith, and now you say, well that I may know Him, you already know Him._ And what Paul is saying, _that was just entry-level knowledge. Like when you first were married, you know your wife, but after 20, 30, 50 years now you know her so much more closely and intimately._ And so, it is in our walk with God.
I want to encourage you to know God, and to draw closer to God.
