  • It's Time to Stir Up the Water

    Hey Friend!

So this is a bit different episode today, but it was something that was on my heart when I sat down to record. This is what I love about podcasting - it can be whatever you want to do.

So y'all know I'm a big proponent of storytelling; it drew me to podcasting and what I believe podcasting is all about. So I've mentioned it before, I'm a BIG fan of The Chosen.

I recently watched episode 4 of Season 2, and something stirred inside me. In this episode - One of the things that Jesus tells Matthew - is sometimes, "You Got to Stir Up the Water" and walk off like A BOSS. I loved it. I've been thinking about this ever since, especially in Podcasting.

One thing I've noticed recently… is that so many podcasts are formula-driven. You know what I'm talking about – Music-intro-main content-music =outro with CTA + music. Even the show notes are formula driven. The thing is, you don't have to have YOUR show sound like everyone else. You want it to be unique. With over 2 million podcasts worldwide, you must set yourself apart to be seen.

    Listen in to learn more:

    • With 2.4 million podcasts worldwide - you need to stir up the water!
    • The importance of storytelling in your podcast
    • Practical tips for incorporating your uniqueness into your podcast!

  • How To Structure Your Episode

    Hey Friends -

One of the questions that I commonly get is how to structure their episodes. Most people know from listening to another podcast - there is the intro, main content/interview, and outro, right?

However, there is a lot more to consider! Which segments to include? How to structure the interview or main content of your episode? On the show today, I'm breaking it all down for you. We'll discuss planning each episode with structure and thought storytelling techniques, why you need to use an outline, and much more!

With a little planning, you can make every episode you produce an engaging, shareable, audience-growing piece of content.

Listen in to learn more about structuring your podcast episodes:

    • Why is the structure of podcast episodes just as important as the content?
    • How to incorporate the 3-Act storytelling into your episode
    • The importance of the call to action and much more!

Hey friends! September is in full swing in my house and at Wildfire Creative. We are putting the final touches on the upcoming Podcast Intensive that starts October 2nd!

I'm breaking down all about growing your influence and authority this week! We hear about "influencers" now, thanks to social media. However, that influence has little in common with effective influence with people in your industry or niche.

Whether you want to improve your authority among potential clients, find yourself speaking at a conference, or even publish your book, you first need to start by building your overall authority and influence.

Listen in to learn about ways to build your influence in your niche:

    • You are who you surround yourself with.
    • Give others a voice.
    • Authentic influencers are the same person, recognizable regardless of the setting.
    • Being influential means staying up to date with the latest developments in your industry and much more!

  • Why do I need a Podcast Workflow?

    Hey Friends -

It's hard to believe that September 11th was 21 years ago. It doesn't seem that long, does it? It has now been over two decades since the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and the crash of Flight 93 – where only the courage of passengers and crew possibly prevented an even deadlier attack. A day we'll never forget.

In this week's episode, I'm talking about how systems for your podcast are sexy and how to create a podcasting workflow for your show!

    • Podcast workflows create efficiency.
    • Workflows help you identify what to outsource.
    • Systems can maintain consistency and prevent unnecessary podfade.
