  • about Jesus, the Great Divider s5e97
When you think of Jesus do you think of a uniter or a divider? I think there are many in history who lived contemporary with Jesus who would level the accusation of divisivness at Him. In this episode of Cogitations lets take a look at what Jesus said about Himself in this regard.

  • about ”so what you’re saying is...” s5e96
Today's episode is some thoughts from the end of the book of John where the diciples confuse Jesus' words to Peter about John. This is the reason I have no care about your interpretation of what someone said and will only consider a verbatum of what someone said. It also gets to the heart of Bible version/interpretation. I hope my thoughts are edifying and informative.

  • about our reputation s5e94

These are just some of my cogitations in relation to how folk want to attack the reputation of others in order to shut them up. This is the weapon of impotent cowards. Remember, I do not care what the majority of people think of me. I have seen what they cheer so I care nothing about their boos.

  • about Christianity Now s5e93 (s2e19) how theHoly Spirit works

Today Aaron and Tony are going to discuss how the Holy Spirit works today. This topic has always proven difficult for some who take a more mystic approach to the Bible. There is no room for mysticism in the lives of God's people.

  • about children’s church s5e91
This is a difficult topic to adress. Mainly because so many consider children's church to be wrong and have even publicly marked congregations because of its stance on the subject yet those same ones doing the marking have not adequately defined exactly what children's church is. Please take a listen to my cogitations on this matter. This episode is directly from a listener and for that I am grateful. This podcast could not happen without contribution of all kinds from the listeners/viewers

  • about our motivations for speaking the truth s5e90

What motivates us to speak the truth? If its not a love of the truth we run the risk of compromising the truth. Take al listen as I develop this thought from Acts 26.

  • about Christianity Now s5e89 Bible scholars (s2e18)
Do certain folk focus too much on scholarly endeavours? How much trust do you put in so-clled Bible scholars who hold multiple degrees? How do you navigate the text and critiscize the text? This is prescicesly what Aaron and tony will discuss today on the show. We hope you are edifeid and informed.

  • about worshp defined along with the worshp service s5e88
Sometinmes I see conversations hapening that throw me for a loop. I try my best to stay in my lane and not notice such things. That being said, the episode today is my cogitations about a conversation had in a private group I am in consisting of preaachers. The very fair and honest question is asked concerning worship, the wporship service, and what we are to do therein. My thoughts here today are going to adress what is a worshop sercice, what is liturgical service, what is worship, does giving meet the requirement for an "act of worship." I hope you are chalenged, edified, and informed.
