  • about national Christian conferences s5e86
I read a blog that I really wanted to talk about. It is from Luke Taylor at 2BeLikeChrist. In the blog he shares some thoughts about national christian conferences that I have been thinking for some years. In this episode of Cogitations I will read the article and share some of my thoughts about it.

  • about the divorce exception s5e85

Many times when I ask folk, mostly Christians, what the scriptural exception to God's marriage and divorce law is they say, adultery. This causes all kinds of confusion. In this episode I talk about the exception and the importance of being precise with our words in this regard.

  • about Christianity Now s5e84 (s2e18) singing to God

Today Aaron and Tony are going to discuss a listener questin about music. Not so much mechanical instruments of music being used in praise and worship to God, but how we present our singing to the Him. This promises to be a good discussion and will be made better with audience comments. We hope you will tune in and share the program far and wide.

  • about nothing new under the sun s5e83
In the book of Ecclesiastes Solomon opines that there is nothing new under the sin. It was presicely that idea that struk me as we were studying through the book of Exodus. It is clear that the powers that be have an agenda to push godlessness in our world and take the power away from Christian men. Take a listen as I share some of my cogitations with you about this phenomenon. I pray that you are edified and informed.

  • Cogitations about Christians getting tatoos s5e82
I have seen the most interesting post and conversation about Christians and tatoos on facebook recently. I am astounded that the issue of Christian liberty and issues of judgment are not better known among our brethren. However, my astonisment concering that pales in comparison to my asonishment at my brehtren simply not undersatning how to rightly divide the Word. Something, incidentally, we are commended to be able to do. Please listen to this podcast with an open and teachable mind.

  • about casting pearls before swine s5e81
We often ascribe to Jesus an almost femeine nature. When looking at His teaching and, especially, His interactions with religous leaders who should know better His nature and engergy is anything but femenine. His enegery is masculine and sometimes downright agressive by today's standards. Yesterday CNN, a leftwing news network in the USA, hosted a town hall meeting where questions were asked of Donald Trump who is running for presidential election in 2024. It was evident that it wasnt so much a town hall discussion but a debate between the CNN apointed host/moderator and him. This got me to thinking, in a situation like that who are we trying to convince? This has application to Christianity. Someitmes you just need to understand the lesson Jesus was teaching when He said, don't cast your perals before swine.

  • about the existence of God s5e80

This episode is review. In Paul's sermon on Mars Hill he declares God's existence to the folk hearing him. From his sermon we can see 6 logical arguments for the existence of God. I hope I say something here that edifies and informs.

  • about Christianity Now s5e79 (s2e17)

Today Aaron and Tony are discussing the idea of moderm day miracles. So many function under the false idea of God directly involving Himslef into the lives of certain indivuals to intervene somehow though supernatural means. It is our position that God does not do this. For our conversation we will look at what the Scripture teaches us about how God acts in the world today and what we mean when we say, God. Hopefully you will be edified and informed.

  • about cancel culture s5e76
It was not too long ago that i coverted an article concerning cancel culture. I did it from a reactionary standpoint. Surprise, there was some drama associated with the article. The article is from Jack WIlkie. Take a listen as I read the article and share some of my thoughts and observations concerning this phenomenon.
