This episode is rated a 5 (on my Serious Crime Scale). It’s the story of 19-year-old Shannon Melendi, a young woman attending Emory University, a private research institution in Atlanta, Georgia. On one morning in March of 1994, Shannon was working her part-time job as a score keeper at a community softball complex; but when she left the softball fields that day for lunch, she was never seen or heard from again. The person responsible for her disappearance and, ultimately, her murder, would not be brought to justice until over 10 years later, in 2005, and he wouldn’t ADMIT to his crime until a year after that, in 2006.
