Day 184 | Proverbs 30:1–31:31
In Proverbs 30, Agur speaks with rare humility, acknowledging his limits while praising God's infinite wisdom and power. He desires neither riches nor poverty, seeking only daily dependence on the Lord. Through vivid imagery—ants storing food, badgers hiding in rocks, and locusts marching in unison—he reveals deep lessons in planning, refuge, cooperation, and perseverance. In Proverbs 31, we shift to a powerful message passed from mother to son: a call to pursue a woman of godly character. Far from a legalistic checklist, the “virtuous wife” is honored for her wisdom, diligence, strength, and fear of the Lord. The passage challenges both men and women to embody these virtues in daily life.
