The Celtics bounce back from a 118-109 loss to the Knicks by beating the Hornets 131-98 in the second to last game of the regular season. The entire top six got the night off to rest, but Payton Pritchard led the way with a career high 31 points to go along with 11 assists. Luke Kornet had a double-double with 16 and 10. Jordan Walsh, Neemias Queta, and Drew Peterson also each set their career high for points on an overall fun night in TD Garden.

The Celtics beat the Blazers 124-107 at TD Garden in methodical fashion. Jayson Tatum got the night off but his teammates were able to take care of business in his absence. Jaylen Brown led the way with 26 points, 15 points and 9 assists, and Payton Pritchard added 20 points and 8 assists off the bench. The starters rested for the entire fourth quarter and the backups extended the lead and put this game away.

The Celtics beat the Kings 101-100 at TD Garden. Payton Pritchard finished with 21 points to lead the team. The starters didn’t play much in the fourth quarter but Jayson Tatum still finished with 17 points and 6 rebounds, Kristaps Porzingis had 20 points and 11 rebounds, and Jrue Holiday finished with 10 points and 7 assists. Xavier Tillman finished with 9 points, including the game winner with about 7 seconds left on the clock.

The Celtics finally lose a game and do so in embarrassing fashion, gagging away a THIRTY point lead in Atlanta, falling to the Hawks 120-118. Jayson Tatum had 37, 8, and 5, but the Celts completely lost the plot without their starting backcourt. The loss snaps a 9-game winning streak for the C’s, but they did clinch the 1 seed in the Eastern Conference anyway. Don’t panic. The sky isn’t falling….but it was ugly.

The Celtics win both games of a back to back, beating the Pistons 129-102 and beating the Bulls 124-113. Jaylen Brown was the high scorer against the Pistons putting up 33 points to continue his hot play since the All-Star Break. Tatum was the high scorer against the Bulls with 26 points.
