  • 3. Why Does it Matter?

    Content warning: mental, spiritual abuse is discussed in this episode. A brief mention of violence in a movie is also included here.

    Oftentimes we find ourselves not knowing how to handle our own trauma, much less someone else's. In our experience, organizations are even worse at this, which can truly cause damage. How do we navigate this? How do we see the signs of trauma, and what are we supposed to do with them? Why does knowing the answer to these questions even matter?

    Thankfully, we have each other to talk through this and learn from, in this week's episode.

    Trauma can be a hard thing to understand, and especially in the church world. We expect things from leaders, and hope that churches take care of us when we're going through some of the hardest moments of our lives, but what happens when we're not taken care of?
