  • Andy Woods: Election Day 2020! What’s At Stake & Why?

    Play Episode

TODAY’S GUEST: Andy Woods, author, pastor and teacher at Sugar Land Bible Church in Texas, President of Chafer Theological Seminary, and founder of Andy Woods Ministries. A few of his books include The Coming Kingdom, The Falling Away, Ever Reforming, and The Middle East Meltdown: The Coming islamic Invasion of Israel.

What is really at stake in this 2020 election? We answer this question by going to the Bible, then comparing the platforms of the two major parties side-by-side on critical issues where the God of Scripture has clearly spoken.

What will the left will do within the first 100 days should they win the presidency and the Senate?

Abolition of the Electoral College, DC and Puerto Rico statehood, packing the Supreme Court and lower courts, funding Planned Parenthood, not enforcing the borders so as to create a new generation of dependency class voters; the Equality Act, hate crimes laws, executive orders, etc. The left really doesn’t care if they run the country right into ground as long as they are the ones pulling the strings forever.

No matter what happens, God is completely in control (Daniel 2:21). If things don’t go the way we want, yes, we will be disappointed as constitutionalists and conservatives but as Christians we never lose hope (Titus 2:13, Hebrews 6:19, Romans 15:13).

Here are a handful of issues discussed today: Abortion, Marriage, Education/sex ed, Religious Freedom, Israel, Law and Order, Borders, Climate Change, New World Order.

“The time has come that Christians must vote for honest men, and take consistent ground in politics or the Lord will curse them… Christians have been exceedingly guilty in this matter. But the time has come when they must act differently… God will bless or curse this nation, according to the course Christians take.” Charles Finney

“God who gave us life gave us liberty. Can the liberties of a nation be secure when we have removed a conviction that these liberties are the gift of God? Indeed I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just, that His justice cannot sleep forever.” Thomas Jefferson

  • Eric Jackson: How Do We Awaken Pastors & Churches to Fight

    Play Episode

TODAY’S GUEST: Eric Jackson, 35, is a Pastor and author of the brand new book, Feral Christian. Eric has filled a variety of ministry positions and is passionate about self-evaluation in Christianity. Eric was ordained through Assemblies of God, trained in Biblical Studies, graduated from UWGB and has extensive ministry experience in a variety of settings and denominations. He is currently the Lead Pastor of Foundation Church in Minocqua, WI.

We discuss how the role of pastor has changed, how the church has changed, particularly in America, and how politics has almost become a four-letter word in churches. It wasn’t always this way.

    Order the book, Feral Christian:

What if I told you that on the other side of these fences there is land where the Pauls and the Timothys used to walk? That just beyond these fences of church pews, traditions, and rules there are forests that we once owned? That right past the “that’s just how it’s done”s and “just do what you’re told”s lay a place where we can regain what we’ve lost?

Our strength, our senses, our power, the ability to live the way we were always meant to live: what if they are all still there, waiting for us, just beyond the fence? Fences. Made to keep certain things in, and other things out. To keep the wild animals wild, and the tame animals tame. But which are we?

He is also an author and speaker who believes in staying true to God’s Word and refusing to compromise or cater to culture. His church is now ministering in 4 campus locations and on local TV, focusing on delivering and applying the Word of God in practical, life-changing and unapologetic ways. He and his wife Cynthia have been married over 30 years, have 3 children, and 8 incredible grand-kids.

Being unashamed of the gospel causes us to speak the truth in love and preach the whole counsel of God. We discuss the attacks that often come against us when confronting evil and sin in our culture – and the fact those attacks can often come from within the church.Steve Smothermon can relate.

Listen to part of his personal experience from 2016 and the fallout resulting from him accepting an invitation to speak and pray at a Trump campaign rally. Steve also shares how his church has handled Covid 19 issues and has continued operating, meeting and ministering despite an ongoing battle with one of the bluest state governors in the U.S.

Check out Pastor Steve’s book, Big Problems, Bigger God: Whatever You Need for Whatever You Face

You may be facing challenging circumstances, intense pain, crushing disappointment, or silent regrets. But you don’t have to fold. You don’t have to resign yourself to defeat.

You can find help and encouragement to get through the tough parts—to clarify the truth about your life, to replace self-sabotaging behaviors, to discover areas where you need a change of heart or perspective. And here’s the promise: As you keep moving forward through adversity, you’ll discover the greatness and the grace of God. Because you’ll realize how truly great and gracious he is only when you endure hard times and emerge on the other side.

  • Stephen Broden: Political Correctness, Cultural Marxism, and the Church

    Play Episode

TODAY’S GUEST is Pastor Stephen Broden, Senior Pastor of Fair Park Bible Fellowship in Texas. He’s also a political commentator, founder of Protect Life and Marriage Texas, member of the National Black Prolife Coalition, and former professor. He is the chairman of the Gone 2 Far Movement, and is also featured in the 2020 documentary, Uncle Tom: An Oral history of The American Black Conservative.

See to it that no one takes you captive by philosophy and empty deceit, according to human tradition, according to the elemental spirits of the world, and not according to Christ. Colossians 2:8

Writing about Black Lives Matter (four years ago!) for the black pro-life movement blog in 2016, Stephen Broden warned:

“What we are witnessing in the BLM movement in simple terms is the deliberate efforts by the liberal progressive’s in America under the influence of Marxist to infiltrate and manipulate the black community. What’s behind their dastardly plan is to replace capitalism with socialism and to ultimately remove the influence of our Judeo-Christian heritage from the public square. These “aggressive community organizers” are fanning the flames of discontentment. By co-opting a legitimate issue related to stranded relationship between the community, local police and police intimidation they are using discontentment to advance their agenda. They are stirring passions into “a climate of militancy” and at the same time alienating race relationship in America.”

Bringing Back the Black Robed Regiment & Unlimited Submission?

Did you know the Lexington Minutemen were led by the local Pastor and a Deacon?

There is a lot about the richness of Christianity in America that you haven’t been taught which is why Dan Fisher is Bringing Back the Black Robed Regiment. A Boston Tory Magistrate named Peter Oliver coined the term “black regiment” in describing the Patriot Pastors who led in the fight to maintain “civil AND religious liberty.” Every Sunday they ascended into their pulpits dressed in their black clerical robes and stirred the hearts of their congregations to fight for liberty!

ALSO, how often have you heard a Christian pastor/bible teacher declare that Romans 13:1-5 requires Christians to submit to their governmental leaders – no matter what, and that they are sinning if they don’t? For years, spiritual leaders have been shackling believers with a flawed interpretation of Romans 13 – especially as to how it applies to citizens living in a republic like ours. Consequently, Christian people who would normally stand against tyranny, believe that they owe slavish, unlimited submission to their government.

Patriot Pastor Dan Fisher tackles these controversial topics and proves conclusively that Christians not only have the right, but the responsibility to speak up about evil and stand up to tyrannical leaders – no matter the cost.

TODAY’S GUEST: Dr. J. B. Hixson has more than thirty years of ministry experience in the pastoral and academic arenas. Dr. Hixson has served on the faculties and adjunct faculties of nine colleges and seminaries. He earned degrees from Houston Baptist University, Dallas Theological Seminary, and Baptist Bible Seminary. He is pastor of Plum Creek Chapel in Colorado.

He is the author of nine books and has contributed to theological journals, magazine and newspaper articles, and other media. He is the host of Not By Works is a 25-minute daily radio program that airs each weekday.  J. B. and his wife Wendy have been married for 28 years, they have six children and one granddaughter.

Top 10 Reasons Why Some People Go to Hell: And the One Reason No One Ever Has to!

The premise of this book is based upon fundamental presuppositions that are not the result of internal philosophical musings, personal opinions, or speculative conjecture. Rather, they flow from an external standard that serves as the only basis for beliefs, attitudes, and practices: the Bible. There is a hell. There is a heaven. Not everyone goes to heaven. Some people go to hell. Place your faith in the One who paid your penalty and offers to you the forgiveness of sins and the free gift of eternal life.

A person can be sincere in their beliefs, but they can be sincerely wrong about Jesus and salvation.

Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, 21 to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen. Ephesians 3:20-21

Imagine a city where more than 100 churches and thousands of believers pray in an unceasing way, 24/7, for their community and for revival and spiritual awakening. That is happening in Austin, Texas, and now in city after city across the country. City of Prayer: Transform Your Community through Praying Churches by Pastors Trey Kent and Kie Bowman tells the story. Plus it shows the reader how this can happen in any community.

Having unceasing prayer in your community is possible–even in your community. It starts in and with the Christian church! It takes the leadership of local pastors to cultivate a culture of prayer. It also takes willing believers.

    • Randy White: A Balanced Approach to a National Crisis

      Play Episode

Today more than ever in history, America and the world needs theologically sound, Bible teaching churches, but they are more the exception than the norm. People need to see faith-centered, healthy responses to the coronavirus and government mandates.

We, the church, can use this season to love our neighbors, preach the hope of Jesus Christ, and minister to those in need – or follow the crowd and hoard toilet paper. The worrying world needs to see the power of God in believers that have been transformed by the renewing of our minds. This just might be an answer to prayers for repentance of our nation and for the church. Let’s consider the very real possibility of a national revival and expect God to move.

TODAY’S GUEST: Author and Pastor Randy White, founder of John Nelson Darby Academy, has been a pastor for 25 years and regularly leads tours of the Holy Land. Randy White Ministries was started in 2011 as an online and radio Bible teaching ministry, focused today on producing verse-by-verse Bible teaching resources for individuals.

      11. Cameron Buettel: Discernment, Biblical Context, and Coronavirus Concerns

        Play Episode

A.W. Tozer stated, “Worship is no longer worship when it reflects the culture around us more than the Christ within us.” What is happening in too many American churches is we have become seeker-sensitive, conformed to the world, and watered-down not only the hard truths of Scripture but the gospel itself. The whole country suffers when the church is weak and less effective.

On today’s podcast we discuss Christian maturity and church discernment issues.

TODAY’S GUEST: Originally from the Australian outback, Cameron Buettel is a graduate of The Master’s Seminary and currently works as a researcher and writer at Grace to You. He also serves as a deacon at Grace Community Church where John MacArthur pastors. He is passionate about proclaiming the gospel faithfully and teaching others to do so as well. Cameron currently lives in Santa Clarita, California with his Danish wife, Majbrit and their five children: Louisa, Josef, Teresa, Thomas, and Kristina.

        SCRIPTURES

Now on the same occasion there were some present who reported to Him about the Galileans whose blood Pilate had mixed with their sacrifices. 2 And Jesus said to them, “Do you suppose that these Galileans were greater sinners than all other Galileans because they suffered this fate? 3 I tell you, no, but unless you repent, you will all likewise perish. 4 Or do you suppose that those eighteen on whom the tower in Siloam fell and killed them were worse culprits than all the men who live in Jerusalem? 5 I tell you, no, but unless you repent, you will all likewise perish.” Luke 13:1-5

And just as they did not see fit to acknowledge God any longer, God gave them over to a depraved mind, to do those things which are not proper, 29 being filled with all unrighteousness, wickedness, greed, evil; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, malice; they are gossips, 30 slanderers, haters of God, insolent, arrogant, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents, 31 without understanding, untrustworthy, unloving, unmerciful; 32 and although they know the ordinance of God, that those who practice such things are worthy of death, they not only do the same, but also give hearty approval to those who practice them. Romans 1:28-32

Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth. 2 Timothy 2:15

All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; 17 so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work. 2 Timothy 3:16
