  • Enemies of Truth

    TRANSCRIPT

I'm Michael Voris coming to you from Jerusalem on our final day in the Holy Land as we wrap up production from here on our documentary on the Eucharist — and quickly, because so many have asked, you can preorder a copy of the final production by just clicking on the provided link.

It was here, in Jerusalem, about a 10-minute walk from where we are right now, that Roman Procurator Pontius Pilate asked his question of Our Lord: What is truth?

Enemies of Christ deny truth, they deny its existence as anything beyond whatever is expedient. Pilate denied it, even having truth Himself standing right in front of him.

Caiaphas denied it when he tore his robes in response to Our Lord's truthful acclamation that He was, in fact, the Messiah and the Son of God.

And so it has gone down through the centuries even to our own day. And it doesn't even matter what given waters the enemies of Christ may swim in — politics, media, religion — all His enemies are liars.

Which of course stands to reason because it was right over there, on the Temple Mount, where Islam's Dome of the Rock now stands, that Our Lord brutalized the Jewish leaders for their rejection of truth in His own person.

He railed at them, naming them as offspring of the serpent and saying they were enemies of the truth because their father was the devil, who is the father of lies.

That is pretty severe language all by itself, but when coming as a judgment pronounced on you by the Son of God, it is a horrifying condemnation. Those who lie, who participate in lying to obscure or deny the truth, are the offspring of the devil.

And this isn't just some historical or even biblical reality rooted in nostalgia or biblical scholarship. This is real today.

Consider CNN with its constant stream of fake news — meaning lies and distortions to get at Donald Trump. And that includes MSNBC, or The New York Times and so forth, the lot of them that want to get at it Him.

And why do they want to get at him? Because he represents to them — rightly or wrongly, a moral America — the head of a political grassroots movement that if successful would completely undo their liberal 1970s America which has ruled the country for nearly half a century. That vision of America was built on lies.

Roe v. Wade was built on the lie that Jane Roe, whose real name was Norma McCorvey, was gang raped by black men. Only decades later did it come out that that was a lie invented by Roe lawyer Sarah Weddington.

Weddington recently sat next to Andrew Cuomo as he signed the most wide-ranging abortion law in world history into effect earlier this year — more lies.

Joe Biden's entire political career is built on lies — perhaps the biggest one coming to light is he is a creeper, not just friendly "Uncle Joe."

He has manhandled so many women in public and done creepy things, like smelling their hair, that he has earned the nickname "The Handyman."

Yet, the hypocrisy of the Left in giving him a pass because he supports child slaughter is revolting — revolting, but telling. They are willing to sacrifice some of their pretended sacred principles in order to keep abortion the sacrament they have raised it to.

So too the news media will do anything to avoid calling Islamic terrorists, Islamic terrorists — more lies.

The horror of what happened in Sri Lanka on Easter was dutifully reported by the fake news corrupt media as being the fault of "religious extremists" — oh yeah, which religion? To simply pin it on "religious" extremists, condemns all religions.

Why would the media not report the full truth of this, especially when they know it. Because it's better for them to lie by omission if they want to keep up the pretense that Islam is the religion of peace.

They need to keep that narrative going so they can use it against Christianity in general and Catholicism in particular.

So too, those on the Left who keep yammering on and lying about man-made climate change. The climate changes. It has since creation. Man does not make the climate change.

The Left — the media, politicians, elitists and so forth — are all engaged heavily in lies because they want to bring about a new order for the world where Jesus Christ is excluded from it.

Islam is based on a lie, Freemasons lie, socialists and Marxists lie, the media lies, Democrats lie, Planned Parenthood lies, all of them enemies of Christ because He is the truth, and they reject truth and the world and civilization created in the West by His Catholic Church after the fall of the Roman Empire.

Pilate, a representative of that empire, you might say got this whole ball rolling, this denial and rejection of truth for the sake of political expediency. It happened right over there, on the Temple Mount the first time, and as we know, it wouldn't be the last.

Those dedicated to Christ say the truth. You cannot love Christ and not also love the truth, for He is the truth. Truth is sometimes hard to hear. Dealing with its consequences is often hard to bear.

But if you want to spend eternity with truth, you better start living in correct association with Him here on earth. Call out lies. Call out falsehoods. Do it every time you encounter them.

Calling out the enemies of Christ is really, after all, only calling out their father, the devil. That's what children of the light do. They attack the darkness.

Ending our time here in the land where Our Lord instituted the sacrament of His body and blood, for our whole crew, and Church Militant supporters who made this trip possible for the production of our documentary on the Eucharist, this is Michael Voris.

  • Protestantism’s Israel ‘Theology’

    TRANSCRIPT

I'm Michael Voris coming to you from Jerusalem, where we are beginning to wrap up our production trip for the Church Militant documentary on the Eucharist from the land where it all began.

One of the notable things about being in Israel is the nature of the friendly relations between Israel and the United States.

While many people believe that U.S. support of Israel is owing to a strong Jewish lobby in the United States, one thing many people don't realize is the prominent role American Protestantism plays in supporting Israel back home.

And notable, that support is based on a twisted reading of Sacred Scripture.

Before we continue, this is not some hit piece against American aid to Israel or U.S.-Israeli relations.

Those are all purely political issues that can be debated and gone over. What we're talking about in this Vortex is the motivation of U.S. Protestants in supporting the relationship.

In various Evangelical quarters in the United States, the belief in the need for a Jewish state is a bedrock belief that says, in short, the Bible says the Second Coming cannot happen until the Jews are gathered back into the promised land.

So that having occurred in the immediate years after World War II, it is now an imperative of the evangelical movement. Israel must remain Israel — period.

So this has switched from a political issue into a theological one.

In fact, this "Jews being brought back" theology goes even further back in history than U.S. history itself.

Before Luther, it was universally held that prophecies like Ezekiel's were allegories for the transformation of the biblical state of Israel, descended from the patriarchs, into the "spiritual Israel" represented by the Catholic Church.

A hundred years after Luther, Calvinist writers were declaring the hope and need for the Jews to reestablish Jerusalem and Israel to make way for the Second Coming.

That belief has now morphed into what's called Christian Zionism — the Christian hope, not to mention backing for, a new Israel, in which we are now standing.

But, as usual, when non-Catholic Christians read Scriptures, what comes next is usually disastrous, owing to ridiculous claims of personal interpretation.

These mistaken evangelicals have conflated the Israel of the Old Covenant or Old Testament — same thing — with the modern nation-state of Israel.

This country is highly secularized, allowing intermarriage, abortion, tolerance of homosexuality and all the rest of the cultural curses of the West. This modern-day Israel has nothing to do with the biblical Israel, including even the form of Judaism practiced.

When Titus and his 10th Legion descended on Jerusalem in the year 66 or 67 and laid siege to the holy city for three years, it not only destroyed the city of Jerusalem, it also wiped out Covenant Judaism.

Old Testament Judaism was eventually replaced with Rabbinic Judaism — a mere shadow, if that, of the former religion.

Rabbinic Judaism is essentially man-made, borrowing some elements from Pharisaic Judaism from the time of Our Lord but totally repudiating certain other aspects.

The Pharisees were one of a number of religious "parties," for lack of a better term, before the destruction of the temple. After that, they were the only ones who managed to survive.

Significant disputes arose among them when faced with the new reality of Judaism with no temple and therefore no temple sacrifices and no atonement.

How to handle this whole new world — which, to be very clear, was a shattering event for the Jews of the first century, an apocalyptic course changing reality — how to handle it was now the subject of much arguing.

After about 50 years or so, what emerged was the end of the Pharisees and the morphing of Judaism and Rabbinic Judaism, which had to face the challenge of how to not only interpret the various traditions — both oral and written — but how to live them out in the new reality.

Much of the old gave way to many new interpretations of the Torah, and down the ensuing centuries, Rabbinic Judaism has itself changed and splintered dramatically.

The point is this: The Judaism which is present here in Israel today is not even close to the Judaism which was lived in Our Lord's time. And again, the nation-state present here today is totally secular, not theological. And even if it was theological, the theology it would be based on is not the same as during the time of Our Lord.

So Evangelicals and other denominations, mostly in the United States, have drawn a connection where no connection exists because of a severe misreading of Scripture. Additionally, they have converted that mistaken theology into a political force in the United States which mostly votes in a morally good way, but for bad reasons.

When someone's actions are morally right but their intentions are based on faulty assumptions, it doesn't end well. Eventually, the falsity of their foundations comes to light and their cause collapses.

Evangelicals in the United States need to vote for pro-life and pro-family causes solely because those positions in and of themselves are correct and not because the party who supports them also advocates a strong relationship with Israel.

Each year, the United States gives Israel about $4 billion. With anti-semitic Democrats gaining more and more influence in the United States, it won't be long before this bad foundation is exposed.

America's becoming less and less religious. If one of the main currents running through the Republican Party is revealed to be that we give billions in aid based on a belief that it will usher in the Second Coming, that may cause a political earthquake as Republicans could be painted as religious nut-jobs — which, for the record on this score, is true.

The Protestant heresy strikes again. It wasn't right at its dawn, and it certainly isn't right at its dusk.

Vote correctly, yes. But also vote for the correct reason, a reason that is defensible and based on truth.

  • Beautiful Gehenna

    TRANSCRIPT

Just south of the old walls of Jerusalem, there was a pit, a fiery pit, known as Gehenna. When Our Lord spoke of Hell, He likened it to the fires of Gehenna, and His listeners got the picture pretty fast.

In 2007, Gehenna, which is now the Valley of Hinnom, looked like this: a deep and narrow glen valley — of which there are quite a few here — skirting the southern end of the old city.

But if you come to Gehenna today, you can still easily see the depths of Gehenna, but now, it's a park, no longer a pit.

In fact, it's a pretty nice-looking park with even some sheep grazing in it; nicely manicured grassy areas, nice walking paths, even a Hebrew class being taught on one of the little mounds.

Under this pristine covering, however, is a frightening history.

Some of the kings of Judah actually sacrificed their children here, casting them into a pit with raging fires. So revolting did the Jews find the practice that they considered the land cursed and eventually used it as the city garbage dump and kept a constant fire blazing here.

So when Our Lord compared the fate of the damned to being cast into Gehenna, where the worm dieth not and the fire is never consumed, it was a pretty scary picture for those who heard Him.

But here's the deal: Today, there's nothing scary about the place at all. In fact, it's a pretty safe bet in this secular city, many people walking around don't even know that history, or if they do, only in some vague way.

But the covering over of Gehenna is extremely reminiscent of covering over the teaching on Hell by modernists in the Church today.

They don't exactly say Hell is actually not all that bad, kind of a nice place, in fact, like the recently created park here in Jerusalem. But they accomplish the same end of removing from people's minds the reality of the actual Gehenna.

Hell is real. And people go there. It exists. And it's not pretty.

Despite what "Church of Nice" apologist priests and bishops like Robert Barron preach. They are wrong. They refuse to preach the hard truths because they love themselves and their celebrity too much.

They want the respect of men, and one surefire way to lose it is to start yammering on about eternal fire and never-ending torture for the unrepentant.

And if you need an example of someone who lost the respect of men, you need look no further than the Son of God, who not only lost the respect of men but was killed by them.

He spoke often of Hell or damnation or not being saved, and when He brought those charges against the religious leaders, calling them liars and cheats and offspring of the serpent, that's all they could take.

In Matthew's Gospel, He has a direct confrontation with the leaders and says, flat out, how can any of you escape damnation?

He said of one of His own Apostles, better for him had he never been born. Jesus Christ came to save people from Hell and be united to Him for eternity, and, significantly, He also said not all would be saved, directly destroying the stupid, anti-scriptural notion that we have a reasonable hope that all might be saved.

Again, Matthew records for us He said that, at the end of the world, at the general judgment, He will declare to the damned, "Depart from Me accursed into everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels."

Yet, Church of Nice modernists — again, many of them bishops — want to avoid or even cover up this horrible reality.

Yes, it is a possibility for every person, just as salvation is. But it is a realized possibility for many. The Son of God says that — clearly and distinctly.

This 50-year-old idiocy, so dominant in the minds of so many leaders in the Church that we can basically put a nice looking park on top of Hell and call it a day is spiritual terrorism.

And those who preach it, accept it, turn a blind eye to it or foist it onto others need to be called out and their errors attacked.

It is disgraceful to try and cover over the history of the Church's teaching on Hell as though we are somehow so much more sophisticated today and don't need to hear that anymore — such hubris.

Human souls are damned, as a matter of fact, just as this place was a fiery furnace for the offspring of children of some of the kings of Judah, despite how prettied up it looks right now.

This valley was a killing field for the children of the kings of Judah born to their pagan wives and concubines, and sometimes even sacrificed to Baal.

That's a historical fact, just as the Son of God said most are not saved. No beautification can undo reality.

We must work to ensure people know the truth, not lie about it so we don't hurt their feelings and disturb them. That's the work of the devil.

  • They Can’t Be Trusted

    TRANSCRIPT

If it takes a village to raise a child, it takes a village to abuse a child. That line from the Oscar-winning film Spotlight, which focused on the sex abuse scandal in as it unfolded on the pages on The Boston Globe back in 2002.

Yep, for horrible institutional sin to happen, the institution must be a participant.

But what is "the institution"? It, as its own entity, doesn't really exist. There is, for example, no real entity — the Catholic Church in the United States.

That's a catch-all term for the collection of all things, ultimately coming down to people, that comprise Catholicism in the United States.

What is the institution anyway? It's nothing more than the practices, policies, protocols and procedures instituted by the people who run it. In short, the institution is really people and then how they decide things will run. It's nothing more than that.

So what needs close examining in all this filth is who is running the show — but not just the bishops, because in truth, the bishops would have zero ability to do anything, including cover-up stuff, if it weren't for the people around them.

Those people around them have for decades assisted in all this evil, each person within his or her own specific realm.

Whether it's lawyers doing their lawyering or chancery officials officiating, each one of those men and women made a choice to participate in this evil. And frankly, they are still, right now, as we sit here, still making that same choice.

They are not saying what they know. They are not turning over incriminating evidence. They are not revealing the truth of everything that should be known.

But there is one group in particular that should be held up for open public ridicule and disdain. And that would be members of the alleged Catholic media. These "professional" Catholics have enabled all this filth, and they will have a serious accounting to have to give.

They have used the double weapon of ignoring the truth while at the same time, giving aid and comfort to the enemy.

They personally profit from using their pens to paint a picture of peace. And as a man who has me a living as a professional journalist, their actions are disgusting. They do not report "truth" — rather they distort the truth.

Take, for example, Catholic News Agency's Ed Condon who a few days back wrote a fawning essay on the at-last departure of Donald Wuerl from the scene as Wilton Gregory assumed control of Washington, D.C. as archbishop.

As a journalist, it was hard to hold back the vomit. Makes you wonder just how close a friend he is of Wuerl's because "his article" sure sounds like they are best buds.

He offered praise for Wuerl's "achievements" during his days in Pittsburgh addressing the homopredator abuse crisis. He did so however by never mentioning a series of cases where Wuerl moved bad priests around and at least one student died as a result.

He never pointed at Wuerl paying extortion money to another priest who threatened to out the whole gay network in Pittsburgh. After getting his money from Wuerl, he hightailed it to the Caribbean and was murdered by a gay prostitute.

When his body was eventually returned from the Communist nation, Wuerl presided over a funeral where he declared the priest was a loyal and faithful priest and is now in Heaven.

The list goes on, and Wuerl's scandal is not the focus of this Vortex. But the cover-up, or perhaps better stated, the enabling of his scandal — and others — is the focus.

The enabling, not the behind-the-doors enabling by chancery rats, but the public enabling of these lurid scoundrels, their enabling is the focus.

When Viganò dropped his bombshell last August, Crux founder and editor-in-chief John Allen cautioned readers to take everything Viganò was charging with a large grain of salt.

Turns out, a year later, every last thing and more that Viganò said is true. But what Allen doesn't spend too much time telling you is that he and his failed effort Crux is now paid for by the Knight of Columbus.

So just how independent and therefore trustworthy can Crux and John Allen be? They, just like CNA, have every reason to protect the status quo, the institution.

We're willing to bet that since the news broke about secret papers now being made public proving that Wuerl knew all about McCarrick's evil for decades that Ed Condon isn't exactly rushing to retract his canonization of Wuerl.

Here's the rule to remember with the bought-and-paid-for professional Catholic media crowd: They will do and say and report and comment on whatever the bishops want — period. They have to. The bishops are their bread and butter. The bishops give them interviews, access, press passes, endorse their books, advertise for them in bulletins, invite them to speak — you name it.

The bishops do all that in exchange for an "ask no questions" press corps, which amounts to a little else than a giant public relations machine.

They aren't press at all. They aren't reporters. They aren't journalists. Heck, most of them can't even deal honestly with the concept of truth, much less actually convey the truth in the written word.

They have grown accustomed to their role as enablers, say everything good, never ask probing questions and deflect and defend.

Heck, when necessary, they will do some of the dirty work for the bishops by smearing and attacking Catholics like Church Militant and others who do want the truth to be told and do tell it.

Catholic News Agency, headed by JD Flynn — a canon lawyer, not a newsman — and various other pretend news outfits wouldn't actually know something newsworthy if it bit them in the face.

But they do know how to protect, defend and enable. Take, for example, Catholic radio host Al Kresta of Ave Maria Radio, who went out of his way to protect and defend Lansing Bishop Earl Boyea against charges by a victim of a priest who used to be on his radio show, Fr. Pat Egan.

One of Egan's targets — a young man Church Militant has met with — reported the priest years earlier and Boyea did nothing about it.

Then, the young man approached a group of professional Catholics, of which Kresta assumed control, and asked for their help. Kresta's knee-jerk reaction was protect the bishop, let's work with the bishop, let's trust the bishop.

Kresta turned on the young man and ostracized him from the group after the victim confronted Boyea at a public gathering and secretly recorded Boyea's totally insulting, dismissive response.

Why? Because that's how the institution operates; protect the institution, especially when you have a personal stake in the same institution.

Boyea is bishop of the diocese in which Kresta's Ave Maria studios are situated, near Ann Arbor, Michigan and well, it wouldn't go very well for Ave Maria if all of a sudden the local bishop yanked his support and began making life difficult for them now, would it?

So when Kresta, or John Allen or Ed Condon or JD Flynn or any other notables who enable all this filth in a hundred different ways, either by their silence or scheming or phony reporting — when they have something to say — just remember, keep in your mind who's really doing the talking.

It's the institution that has bought and paid for these ecclesiastical mercenaries. Do they say some true things? Sure. Do they report some things correctly? Yeah.

But as seemed to be the point of Condon's glowing essay on Wuerl, even Hitler repaired the roads, and Mussolini kept the trains running on schedule.

Bottom line, if an outfit is not independent, meaning no official ties and blessings from the institutional Church, then you cannot trust them and should not trust them.

Question anything they assert. They did not come clean about all this evil even when they knew it was going on. Why should you trust them now?

  • Lies, Lies and MORE Lies

    TRANSCRIPT

Two stories broke earlier this week that were pretty significant on their own, but when you look at them together, the conclusion is especially noteworthy.

The upshot, Pope Francis is lying when he told a reporter he knew nothing about McCarrick because senior Vatican officials knew all about McCarrick including Donald Wuerl who has gotten caught for the second time lying about all this.

This means everything Archbishop Viganò testified to last August about the Pope, McCarrick and Wuerl lying about and covering up the evil of McCarrick is true, as well as the cover-up being orchestrated by a cabal of homosexual men who are senior clergy in the Church such as Cardinal Edwin O'Brien, Blase Cupich, Joseph Tobin and Kevin Farrell.

First the Pope news: He granted a recent interview to a Mexican reporter who asked him point blank what he knew about McCarrick. His answer: "I said that several times, that I didn't know, no idea, otherwise I wouldn't have kept quiet."

Now that's curious, very curious. Exactly when has the Holy Father ever said once, much less several times, that he had no idea about McCarrick?

When directly confronted by international media on the plane returning from Ireland last summer about Viganò's charge that he knew all about McCarrick’s homopredation and ignored it and resurrected his career after Pope Benedict had sidelined him, Francis famously said, "I'm not going to say a single word."

And then he said journalists should do their jobs and get to the bottom of it. Since that time, the Pope has not said anything about what he knew and when he knew it.

To now try and play this off as if he has been saying all along he knew nothing is simply not true.

In the related piece of news, which in itself is also a pretty big story, McCarrick's former secretary, Msgr. Anthony Figueiredo, has released confidential correspondence to some select media outlets proving — note the word we use there, proving, as in beyond any shadow of a doubt — that top Vatican clergy knew all about McCarrick and the restrictions placed on him and they all ignored them.

Included in the bunch who knew about McCarrick was, drum roll please, the lying, cheating, scheming Donald Wuerl who was instrumental in getting his former seat as archbishop of Washington, D.C. filled by another member of the homosexual current in the Church, Wilton Gregory.

In fact, it's a given that Wuerl would have been placed in his position as archbishop of D.C. back in 2006 by McCarrick who needed Wuerl to cover for him.

McCarrick was an evil, homosexual predator, communist infiltrator into the Church who sexually assaulted dozens of seminarians during his climb up the episcopal ladder.

He embezzled enormous sums of money which he used to curry favor with the greedy Vatican clergy who helped his career as well as covering up for him.

As his power and influence grew — through blackmail or secret cash payments and relationships with other wicked prelates — McCarrick simply became the living breathing example of someone who senior clergy considered "too big to fail."

Somewhere along the line, it was decided that if news ever got out about McCarrick, it would be a PR nightmare for Rome.

So he was allowed to continue. He was instrumental in starting up the Papal Foundation, being the bishops face for their response to original homopredator sex abuse crisis in 2002; he was key in crafting the policy where bishops would never be investigated.

All of this was known, a true inside operation. And the laity were lied to repeatedly, ripped off, deceived and any other verb you can think of by an American hierarchy that was too busy jettisoning tradition and covering up their own homopredator priests to care.

And as Bishop Steven Lopes importantly noted last summer, "We all knew." Yes, they did — which brings us back to Pope Francis, Donald Wuerl and Archbishop Viganò.

So now let's tie the two stories together. Wuerl knew all about McCarrick, having been caught publicly now not once, but twice lying about it. Pope Francis knew straight from the mouth of Viganò, who admitted that he knew.

We know from the correspondence just released, as well as other sources, that Wuerl knew. So Wuerl and Pope Francis both knew, and more to the point, when questioned, they lied. They both lied.

And pay close attention to this: The Pope lied — yes, the Pope lied. And not only lied as in the past, but continues the lie. Viganò even came out yesterday and charged him with lying.

One on level, that's not horribly surprising. He has surrounded himself with liars — liars about sex abuse cover-up; liars about Church teaching; liars about homosexuality; lies, lies and more lies. And yet he himself, while a big one, is not the actual problem. He is as much a symptom of a much larger problem.

A problem that allows a homopredator priest to try and seduce young men in the diocese of Saginaw. A problem that allows an archbishop in Detroit to offer the services of a judge to help kill the investigation through intimidation.

A problem that allows a bishop in Buffalo to cover up a local clergy loaded with homosexual men.

A problem that allows a cardinal in Chicago to keep hidden and unreported that one of his predecessors may very well have been a predatory homosexual himself.

A problem that allows a cardinal in New York to keep in service and lie about a priest who stole enormous sums of money to use for sadomasochistic sex with a gay-for-pay prostitute.

These men, from the top down, have constructed one massive lie, brick by brick and have used the souls of those whose care they are charged with to promote their lie. The Pope is lying. Wuerl is lying.

Our Blessed Lord stood in front of the religious leaders of His time and declared to them that their "father is the devil, and that the devil was a liar and a murderer from the beginning."

He also said, "For this reason I was born into the world to bear witness to the truth. Whoever hears the truth, hears my voice."

No faithful Catholic on now seeing all of this revealed for the monstrous evil that it is can fail to act according to his own circumstances of life.

This must be resisted with every ounce of strength you have.

  • Evil Engineers

    TRANSCRIPT

Please be sure and share this Vortex with any friends or family you have who are stuck in the Church of Nice. It's really intended to help open their eyes — to red-pill them, as the expression goes.

The Church that almost all Catholics attend today — the usual parish, with its liturgy; religious instruction and so forth; was put into place by two homosexual predators who eventually rose to the highest ranks of the Church.

The two men we are speaking of are Theodore McCarrick, since busted down to the lay state, and Joseph Bernardin, who liberals in the Church have been covering for for years.

These two men worked together in tandem, a dynamic duo of destruction, evil engineers whose mutual goal was to destroy belief in the Real Presence.

Both men attacked the priesthood relentlessly, as well as the laity's belief in the Real Presence, by various methods they introduced into parish life — parishes where virtually every Catholic who still attends Mass goes.

And notice the resulting collapse of faith overall among the laity, which is guaranteed when belief in the Real Presence is decreased.

In fact, run-of-the-mill, everyday Catholics might very well not have the slightest idea what the term "Real Presence" even means, so great has been the destruction.

For the record, the term refers to the dogmatic teaching of the Church that Jesus Christ, the incarnate Son of God, the Second Person of the Blessed Trinity, is truly, substantially and really present — Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity under the appearance of bread and wine.

In short, at Mass, Jesus Christ Himself, not a symbol, not "spiritual bread," but He as He exists in Himself is actually present, made present, at the consecration.

This teaching is, as St. John Paul said, quoting from centuries and centuries before, is the source and summit of the Catholic faith.

Since the Eucharist, the Blessed Sacrament, is Jesus Himself — again, not a symbol or suggestion or pious whatever, but He Himself — then, of course, the Eucharist is the source and summit of the Faith because Jesus is the source and summit of the Faith.

If you have never really heard that, then you have been lied to and deceived and you need to be angry about that. One of the very keys to unlock your eternal salvation you have been deprived of, again, by wicked, evil men who betray Christ as surely as Judas did.

Let's present Bernardin first, since so much is known about McCarrick's evil already.

Bernardin was a homosexual predator. Here is an interview with one of his victims which Church Militant aired a month ago and, unsurprisingly, no one in the Catholic establishment media world paid the slightest bit of attention to.

Now, it's worth commenting on the fact that the likes of EWTN, Catholic News Agency, Al Kresta at Ave Maria Radio, none of them, as well as others, gave that charge the slightest bit of coverage.

That is a monumental charge coming from the same man who they gave plenty of ink to last summer when he came forward about McCarrick abusing him for years, starting when he was 11.

Why was he so credible then, but can be completely ignored now? Well, Church Militant hasn't ignored him. In fact, we challenge the bishop lap-dog media types to reach out to him and do their own interviews.

But see, they won't. And why not? Because to broadcast things about McCarrick, which were already breaking in the secular media takes not the slightest bit of courage.

But to do an interview with a man who is a victim of Joseph Bernardin is an entirely different case because destroying Bernardin as well as his legacy would mean that the entire foundation of the Church in the United States today — as virtually every Catholic experiences it — would be proven to be formed in the twisted minds of two homopredators.

But here's the reality: That is exactly the case. Together these two men promoted homosexuality — both actively and passively.

They combined to de-emphasize any and all knowledge and love of the Blessed Sacrament.

Bernardin pushed and lied about the issue of Holy Communion in the hand, something the first generation of Catholic traitors like Martin Luther and Zwingli had insisted on to precisely bring about disbelief in the Real Presence.

McCarrick also lied — lied to his brother bishops — regarding what Rome had told him about distributing Holy Communion to pro-abort politicians.

Brick by brick, these two offspring of the serpent dismantled the Church, fast-tracking homosexuality among seminarians so gay men would eventually over the years become dominant within the ranks of the ordained.

They were each more than happy to support the introduction of all sorts of abuses into the liturgy — to, again, take the attention of the idea of the Mass as a sacrifice and allow it to become a virtual stage production "starring" the priest.

This is why Mass is now so centered around the "presider" instead of what he is actually "presiding over."

Priests often walk into Mass at your local parish, waving and making eye-contact with the few in the pew, instead of concentrating, meditating, reflecting on, preparing for the majestic action they are about to do, which is call God down from Heaven to become physically present among His people, to become their food, which He commanded us to eat, His flesh.

This is the major reason behind the priest facing the people, to keep all eyes on him and thoughts away from the God whose authority he exercises.

The priests of the Old Testament did not face the people. They offered sacrifices to God facing the God the sacrifice was being made to.

But you name it, any aberration, any break from the past was welcome in accomplishing their diabolical goal — girl altar boys, Communion not kneeling, bands in the sanctuary, so-called eucharistic ministers, distorting Sacred Scriptures, felt banners, ripping out Communion rails, horrid syrupy music, placing the emphasis on man and things of man. That was the goal.

At this point, you could certainly say "mission accomplished."

And here's what you need to bear in mind. All that distortion still rules the day in seminaries all over the country.

Even the North American College in Rome forbids seminarians from kneeling to receive Holy Communion — or strongly discourages it.

The Real Presence is given lip service, sometimes, but then nearly every action and practice surrounding it turns around and de-emphasizes it.

But see, the theology of the Real Presence totally destroys their perverted theology, so Bernardin and McCarrick, twisted predatory homosexuals, doing the work of their father, the devil, needed to demolish all that went before them; and that was their life work, striking at the very heart of the Church, from within the Church.

No actual restoration of the Church can be accomplished on any significant scale until the truth of who and what was done is understood and admitted.

Today, there are bishops, big-name active bishops, like Dolan, Cupich, Tobin and so forth, who want nothing to do with any traditional expressions of Catholicism.

They either actively promote or passively allow their seminarians to be trained as though they are little else than human agents trying to bring about nice social change in the world, a point which specifically relates to Bernardin and his "seamless garment" garbage.

These two men have brought a spiritual wrecking ball to the Church in the United States and almost completely destroyed it.

And even though one is dead and the other quickly approaching the grave, their work is more abundant and flourishing now than when they were in their heyday because the men who they promoted to bishops to continue their work and carry on their vision are now running the show.

Now, if you're a usual Catholic who doesn't know any of this, never heard any of it before, well, now you know.

Want to know more? You should, because once you are exposed to the truth, you are, from that moment on, accountable.

What goes on in most parishes throughout the nation each Sunday is more Protestant than Catholic, the manner in which the Mass is celebrated, the horrible preaching that has no real point, the constant emphasis on fellowship and holding hands and applauding the band.

None of that is Catholic. But after being around for almost 50 years, it's now accepted as though it's Catholic because people don't know any better.

Time for people to know. Time for people to know that how they have been instructed to celebrate and live their Catholic life was cooked up in the minds of these two evil engineers, these two Judases, whose goal was to destroy Catholicism to everyday Catholics by destroying the priesthood so they could destroy belief in the Real Presence.

Turn the altars back around. Get the women out of the sanctuary. Toss out the eucharistic ministers. Start facing the God who is being worshipped instead of the priest standing with his back to Him.

And no, Vatican II did not order, command or direct any of those things to happen. All of this was dismantled so that you would ultimately lose your faith and go to Hell.

Understand that supreme point. These evil engineers were agents of the diabolical designer.

The Church is collapsing — full-on collapse. The rot from within is becoming more and more visible and is about to shift into high gear.

For example, on Aug. 14, less than one month from now, the state of New York's window on the statute of limitations opens for a full year — meaning anyone who has a claim from whenever will be able to file suit against all seven dioceses in New York.

Cardinal Dolan is so worried that he actually took all 32 archdiocesan insurance companies to court because they are saying they will no longer pay these massive lawsuit settlements because they are accusing Church leaders of having created this mess, a charge not lacking legitimacy.

Starting Aug. 14, those New York dioceses are expecting hundreds of millions of dollars of lawsuits to be filed against them — because yes, there are that many victims.

But the financial damage is only one instrument by which we can measure the collapse of the Church.

There are going to be massive earthly repercussions — absolutely, no doubt about it. And to the extent that there are hundreds of truthful claims, those victims deserve justice.

But on the spiritual side of the house, the situation is even more drastic, as hard as that is to imagine.

Tens of millions — stop for a moment and listen to that number: tens of millions — of baptized Catholics have simply walked away from the Church, and the rate increases every year.

The Church as an institution has long since ceased to provide the spiritual bread that the human soul longs for.

Instead, the institutional Church has become a haunt for psychologically disturbed men who like having sex with each other while hiding behind their collars and underneath their miters while they sponge off the patrimony of the Church — a patrimony that will become considerably smaller as state after state lifts the statutes of limitations for victims of homosexual abuse at the hands of homosexual clergy.

What is about to happen in New York is slated to happen in a number of other states as well.

And why? How? How has it come such a horrid state of affairs? While the details are very involved, the straight-up, 60,000-foot answer is really quite simple.

The priesthood was seized control of over a number of decades by homosexual men — some of whom were Communist plants — and is now almost no longer recognizable.

Satan has done his work extremely well. When he demanded of Our Blessed Lord in the Upper Room at the Last Supper that Christ hand over His Apostles to him so he could sift them like wheat, the current state of affairs is something of what he must have had in mind.

It was a necessity in the diabolical plan that the clergy become emasculated, terrified of announcing the hard, glorious truth of salvation for fear of giving offense — check.

What we largely have in the ranks of the presbyterate and especially the episcopate today is precisely what Satan wanted: morally corrupt women for men who have lost nearly all semblance of supernatural faith, whose only concern is power and lust.

Never before in the 2,000-year sacred history of the Church has the holy priesthood fallen so low.

Even among the so-called "good" priests, many of them have been malformed from breathing in the fumes of the Church of Nice.

The Church of Nice was conceived in the minds of the homosexual predators Cdl. Joseph Bernardin and Theodore McCarrick, and what most Catholics see before them today is that model of the Church with its abuse-ridden liturgy and de-emphasis of the supernatural.

Many men being ordained today have been trained by the Church of Nice faculty and staff at their seminaries to never give offense; to try and find reconciliation; to hold "dialogue" as the supreme virtue.

They have been emasculated; taught to go along, don't upset the people; preach watered-down garbage to them like Alpha evangelization and "Church Lady" RCIA classes; no wonder huge numbers of people leave the Church, even after having gone through a year of RCIA.

They haven't been given the authentic faith in those classes, they have been taught polite, non-confrontational, non-offensive milquetoast with a dash of Bp. Barron's idiocy that we have a reasonable hope that all men are saved. And for the record: no, we don't.

What a priest, and for that fact any man of the Church, is supposed to be doing, as his primary job, is protecting the innocent — that is job; period.

And what we are protecting them from is the fires of Hell. But Hell has fallen out of favor with the corrupt homosexual mafia running the Church — no surprise there.

They, like their master, don't want people thinking of Hell. That is the last thing they want people thinking of. And as a quick aside, that is why Barron's spiritual poison and things like Alpha are peddled all over the Church.

All of this, the reasonable hope insanity, the Alpha Protestantized filth, the abuse-ridden liturgies, the deconstruction of Sacred Scriptures, all of it and more, every last bit is meant to produce emasculated men because it has been foisted on the Church by emasculated men.

They can't biologically reproduce, so they spiritually reproduce the offspring of the serpent.

This is the focus of this year's Church Militant Strength and Honor Conference coming up in a few weeks. Please just click on the link for all the details — and seating is limited and filling up.

Men must take all this back. We must realize how much we have had our masculinity stripped away from us, how the Church has been overrun by biological males — we hesitate to call them men — who are sick in the head, looking to destroy so as to feed their own sickness.

They have introduced zillions of abuses into the liturgy so as to make themselves the center of attention, which means they have necessarily taken the focus of God.

They have developed and introduced corrupt theological notions in the very lifeblood of the Church.

All of this is costing souls — souls by the millions, tens of millions. Satan is in a frenzy of "diabolical joy" over this for he is the ultimate source of it.

This is a shout out to all guys listening, but especially younger guys, please click on the link and get yourselves to this conference here in Detroit the first weekend of August.

You cannot equip yourself to take back your home, your household, your parish, if you do not understand what has happened. There is much to learn, much to be challenged on.

That's why Church Militant put these conferences on. There are enormous forces aligned against you, and many of you do not realize it.

The Culture of Death — and we aren't just talking about abortion — the entire machine of the Culture of Death is closing in on you, and only holy men will be able to withstand it and fight.

And you aren't just fighting for yourself. You have a duty, you and I have a duty, a sacred obligation, to fight for the innocent, and by innocent we mean those who don't know because they have been deliberately deceived by the offspring of the serpent who have infiltrated the clerical ranks.

This is what Abp. Sheen meant all the way back in the 1970s when he said it's up to the laity to save the Church.

Emasculated men, weak, disgusting, revolting men have seized control of the Church, and they are leading hundreds of millions to Hell. They must be resisted and a great restoration must take place, purchased at the price of your blood and sweat.

This is what has happened throughout the Church's glorious history, but it has never happened on this kind of gigantic scale before.

Are you willing to commit your life to protecting the innocent? It's a simple question. Are you willing to take back your home?

Are you willing to have your eyes opened to the filth and the rot and the poison of Satan oozing out of nearly every crevice in the Church today?

It's time for Catholic men to stand up and do what needs to be done — for the sake of the innocent.

    TRANSCRIPT

It's taken a while, but Church Militant has, after months and months of planning and drawing and redrawing and budget planning and all the preliminary work and producing the final drawings, we have at last been given the building permits by the city of Ferndale to proceed with construction.

The mechanical, the plumbing, the electrical, all of them are now in our anxious little hands.

We have signed with a contractor, and big machines and backhoes and so forth will be here very soon to start demolishing so we can arise from the construction mess equipped to be the very best source in the Catholic media world in bringing you all you need to know, that the Catholic establishment media tries to keep hidden from you.

Right now, our production team has already begun dismantling the Archbishop Sheen Studio and control room, which is a pretty serious undertaking.

They'll be done in about two weeks, at which time, the construction guys will be in here and start smashing down walls so we can have increased space for our entire media team — programming, marketing and production.

For the past couple of weeks, all the north building personnel have drifted to the south building, and things are now pretty crowded there — even necessitating porta-potties in the parking lot. Yeah, we know — yuk.

The ongoing construction will cause a transitional change in some of our usual programming, directly affecting mostly The Download, since the Archbishop Sheen Studio is going to be completely gutted.

Headlines will also move from the Sheen Studio and start coming to you from our current cramped newsroom. Vortex will be changing locations as well in a couple of weeks as the Mother Angelica Studio will also be coming under the sledgehammer.

After this week, Mic'd Up will also start airing on a reduced schedule as well. Now, don't fret; we aren't going away, obviously.

We are just shifting resources, so instead of those regular programs, we will be freed up to begin producing more investigative special reports — you know, the ones many of the bishops love.

Our investigations are perhaps the most exhaustive and research-intensive productions we air, and since the physical plant of the studio will be in organized chaos for a while, we are actually able to divert our resources to these productions.

To that end, we would like to point your attention to our latest — which, if you missed it, aired yesterday.

The filth and rot in the Church has got to be dragged out into the light — even though it's hard to hear and watch.

Faithful Catholics must understand just how deep and wide this all goes.

    TRANSCRIPT

One of our chief goals here at Church Militant is help viewers understand not just specific things going wrong in the Church, but how none of these things are occurring in a vacuum.

They're all related, and we make it part of our mission to help you understand the context and the bigger picture so when you see a specific story, you don't see it in isolation, but understand how it feeds into the larger crisis.

Why are we committed to this "contextual" journalistic approach? Because the Church is burning to the ground, and loyal sons need to step up and fight for Our Mother because, at the end of the day, all that matters is souls — saving souls, sacrificing yourself to save souls. Everything else is passing.

Right now, the Church is severely compromised, deeply compromised, in Her divinely appointed commission to fight against the gates of Hell and rescue souls. It's run by a corrupt gay mafia.

So we are dedicated to exposing that rot within the Church and connecting the dots for you on how one seemingly singular story is never just singular.

Taking the case of the archdiocese of Detroit and its bungled handling of the Fr. Perrone case we reported on last week, there are a host of other related stories spewing forth from this one, and each of those angles also needs to be presented.

For example, let's look at the coverage the story has gotten in the Catholic media world.

Late last week, CNA — Catholic News Agency — did an interview with the Detroit priest behind the pressing of the charges against Fr. Perrone, Msgr. Michael Bugarin.

Bugarin had earlier granted a highly inappropriate interview to the Associated Press and produced and handed out a press release that went all over the world saying the charge against Perrone was "credible."

When we confronted him in the back of Fr. Perrone's parish handing out the statements, those statements had the word "credible" in them.

But, after getting severe blowback for doing that, he all of a sudden seems to have forgotten the word "credible" in his interview with CNA.

In fact, CNA made special mention in its article that he avoided the word "credible."

And now we see two different stories emerge here — each one worth its own fleshing out.

First, why did not CNA directly challenge Bugarin on not sticking to the word "credible"?

After all, just a few days earlier, he had announced it to the whole world and it was seen even in this Fox News ticker — his specific doing because he's the man in charge of these cases for Abp. Allen Vigneron.

This is why we say, in separate storylines, that the Catholic establishment media cannot be trusted.

They don't ever ask the hard question because they cannot afford to tick off the Establishment and bishops who they depend on. They let him completely off the hook — on purpose.

Bugarin issued a statement, destroying the reputation of Fr. Perrone around the globe and yet CNA didn't think of pressing him on that point.

That article, as a result, like so many articles in CNA are little else than public relations statements for bishops and their staffs who need to switch into damage control.

One by one, case by case, story by story, CNA and other Catholic establishment media are being revealed as nothing more than shills for the bishops.

Now, the second storyline is this: Why did Bugarin give this interview — and related, why did he back off the use of the word "credible"?

He felt perfectly fine telling the entire planet the charges were credible just a few days earlier.

He and the phony independent review board of the archdiocese had accepted the charge as "credible" and felt fine signing off on the press release as did the archbishop — as did the attorneys.

The entire Detroit bureaucracy accepted the smearing of Fr. Perrone as perfectly acceptable. But they all did so without letting him claim his own innocence, which he did to the Associated Press

As we said last week, Church Militant has known the identity of the accuser for weeks. Because of that, we also know that the claim of abuse is 40 years old, that it came from a "repressed memory."

Does Msgr. Bugarin and the archbishop not think that information is relevant enough to include in a press release for around the world.

They don't have to release the accuser's name. We know it and haven't. But that doesn't mean you still can't talk about the circumstances. And why didn't CNA ask about all these circumstances in their softball interview?

Whenever bishops or the establishment get "caught," they run to CNA types to do an "interview," which is little else than reliable cover for them.

What did Bugarin offer in that interview that was new or more clarifying? Nothing.

So why grant the interview? Why did CNA do the interview? Bugarin certainly wouldn't sit down with Church Militant and do an interview.

He just got "caught" in the back of Perrone's parish last Sunday because he didn't have a choice since he was there to hand out fliers condemning Fr. Perrone without the investigation being completed.

He has not served the archbishop well. He needs to go — be fired or resigned.

CNA should have asked all these questions, raised all these points — but they didn't.

No one in charge at CNA thought one little bit about any of this, and that fact is its own story. What's the point of touting yourself as a news outfit, when you don't know how to do news?

This is just one more example of why we say Church Militant can be trusted and the Catholic establishment media can't.

Why hasn't any, not one single Catholic establishment media outfit, reported Church Militant's exclusive interview with McCarrick victim James Grein that he was sexually assaulted by Cdl. Joseph Bernardin.

Because for those fake news outfits to pick up on a Church Militant exclusive would give us credibility from them, and that is the absolute last thing they can afford to do.

CNA and other Catholic establishment media are specifically "fake news" because they make the deliberate decision to leave out relevant information.

For example, in this case, the head guy at CNA is JD Flynn, who is a canon lawyer with zero experience as a journalist who was picked by the bishops' establishment to run the show there.

They have a reliable man in place to get their word out whenever they need him to.

And in the matter of this story, JD Flynn knows good and well the implication of Bugarin using misleading language about Fr. Perrone, which is why he never directed or edited out anything about Bugarin's use of the term.

There's never just one cockroach when a system is corrupt; it takes joint effort from many different quarters.

And in the case of Fr. Perrone, there is a confederation between a compromised review board, Abp. Vigneron and his point man and now the Catholic (not) News Agency rushing to shore up their actions and provide cover for them.

These bishops and their staffs cannot be trusted; and neither can their fake news outfits.

    TRANSCRIPT

As Church Militant continues to dig deeper into the case of Detroit priest Fr. Eduard Perrone and the archdiocese's severe mishandling of it, a number of disturbing facts are coming to light.

Let's start with the actual members of the archdiocesan review board itself, that body which decided to rule against Fr. Perrone and go public with his smearing in the statement where Abp. Allen Vigneron and his staff refused to let him declare his innocence.

The webpage for the six-member review board proudly announces its independence from the archdiocese, but just how independent is it actually?

First, retired Michigan Circuit Court of Appeals Judge Michael Talbot is the chairman of the board.

Oddly enough, he is also a member of the law firm which represents the archdiocese of Detroit: Bodman, the most expensive law firm in the state.

The question needs to be asked right off the bat: How is a review board independent when its chairman also legally represents the archdiocese? That connection reeks of a conflict of interest.

He gets paid by the very firm that makes decisions to protect the interests of the archdiocese and Abp. Allen Vigneron, not victims — nor the accused, for that matter.

Another questionable member regarding the board's so-called independence is former head of the child abuse unit for the Wayne County prosecutor's office, Nancy Diehl.

Nancy Diehl is the blood sister of the ranking member at Bodman, Robert J. Diehl.

So on a six-member board, of which some members are clergy, at least two — one third — have direct ties to the archdiocese's law firm.

How can this be anything else other than a conflict of interest?

As Church Militant broke exclusively a couple of months ago, Judge Michael Talbot was accused by law enforcement of trying to shut down the investigation of the notorious Fr. Robert DeLand in Saginaw, with claims that he threatened local prosecutors.

Even the Michigan attorney general admitted publicly that a grievance had been filed against Talbot for threatening and intimidating behavior towards prosecutors.

How is this in any way an independent board?

When a given case comes before them, at least two members have only one concern in mind: whatever is in the best interest of the archdiocese — not the victim, not the accused. This is grossly unfair and unjust.

Also deeply involved is Msgr. Michael Bugarin, who is Vigneron's episcopal vicar and delegate for matters of clergy misconduct. Bugarin also is listed as part of the "support staff" assisting the review board in its activities — what?

In that capacity (we don't even know really), he may actually be pushing for the accusation against Fr. Perrone and any accused priest to go forward — again, not with the accused's interest in mind at all, but the archdiocese's best interests exclusively.

The more you learn about the alleged independent review board, the more you see what looks like a kangaroo court come into focus with the deck already being stacked — again, not necessarily in favor of the victim or the accused, but the archdiocese.

Why are Vigneron's attorneys sitting on an independent review board?

Why are decisions being made by Vigneron's priests as to how to proceed against, or in favor of, any given case?

What priest is going to potentially anger his bishop by pushing for something — let's say acquittal, or a solid defense of an accused priest, whichever way — that the archbishop doesn't approve of?

The truth is the independence of this board is little else than a rumor with archdiocesan attorneys and chancery officials running the show — chancery officials who might have an ax to grind against an accused clergy member.

And every time a violation of procedural or substantive law regulating clergy sexual misconduct accusations and their canonical review is committed by a diocesan official — for example, the publication of an accused's priest's name on a list on the diocesan website — the presumption of impartiality of any process is completely undermined and reversed — like they did with Fr. Perrone.

We aren't saying Bugarin has an ax to grind, just that, given all the errors and incompetence he has shown as "Episcopal Vicar" and "Delegate of the Archbishop" in matters of clergy sexual misconduct, he should not be dealing with the board. In fact, he should resign immediately.

And if he does not resign voluntarily, his decree of appointment should be immediately revoked by Abp. Vigneron if either one of them have any honor.

This is calling into great focus the severe problems and issues with the whole process.

In fact, the very process we are talking about here is the one laid out by the near infamous Dallas Charter and what are now called the "Essential Norms" revised by the U.S. bishops in 2006.

But the reality is that the entire process was actually born in the twisted mind of and assembled by, in large part, the serial homopredator Theodore McCarrick and, as we can now surmise reasonably, designed to protect bishops from scrutiny against charges of sexual malfeasance.

As for accused priests, often times the "Essential Norms" are weaponized against good priests that a bad bishop wants to simply sideline.

The "Essential Norms" are not some neutral document, they are a powerful tool — like fire, they can be used rightly or wrongly.

When a given review board appointed by the local bishop in a given diocese wants "to go after a bad priest" or neutralize a good one, the "Essential Norms" are one big weapon.

The grumbling has gotten so loud among good priests about the abuse of the "Essential Norms" that many are beginning to hope that the Fr. Perrone case will be the impetus for a long hard look at it again by the nation's bishops — with giving them a serious makeover.

Through a series of strange coincidences, Church Militant came to know the identity of the accuser of Fr. Perrone many weeks ago. We are not at liberty to say how we came into possession of the information, but we know and have known since at least May.

The case as it was relayed to us weeks and weeks ago was so odd that, after digging, we dismissed it as not credible — which brings us to the word "credible" used in Abp. Vigneron's statement to describe the single 40-year-old charge against Fr. Perrone.

The word "credible" which Msgr. Bugarin bandies about freely is, for all intents and purposes in American diocesan chanceries, a very dangerous word because it is being commonly employed in alleged clergy misconduct cases in an entirely different way than authorized by canon law.

In regular usage, it means exactly what it sounds like: "worthy of belief."

But in the arcane language of canon law, it is a higher standard than what canon 1717 of the Code of Canon Law actually requires as a criterion to be used: "semblance of truth." That is a positive determination, not a negative one. This gets a little into the weeds here, but allow us to explain because it's important. God is, after all, in the details.

Currently, American diocesan officials are using the terminology "unless an allegation be manifestly false or frivolous" as the definition of a "credible" allegation.

This non-canonical definition actually shifts the burden of proof to the accused priest to demonstrate, not just allege in his defense, that any allegation made against him was "manifestly," "obviously," "evidently" false or frivolous, as opposed to the diocese actually having positive or affirmative evidence in support of a claim of sexual abuse.

That is a vast difference between common chancery Orwellian "newspeak" and the official canonical criteria legislated by the popes over many centuries.

When Abp. Vigneron and his non-independent review board and Msgr. Bugarin approved the use of the language against Fr. Perrone that the charge had a "semblance of truth," that is grossly misleading.

In reality, the term, "semblance of truth," according to the AOD itself in its own documents, is defined as "it is not manifestly false or frivolous" or "serious" or "substantive." That's from the AOD's outdated Sexual Abuse of Minors Policy dating back to 2007.

Again, the phrase "semblance of truth" in canon law carries a vastly different meaning. It does not mean that any allegation is credible unless it can be rebutted as

"manifestly false or frivolous" by the accused priest.

However, according to the AOD's and most diocesan sex abuse policies currently in effect, the practical bar that needs to be crossed in a case like this is extremely low — so low in fact that it's almost laughable.

So for Abp. Vigneron to approve a press release with language like "credible" and "semblance of truth" is massively disingenuous and dangerous and a misleading account taken of what those terms actually mean, in the context of the AOD's own actual policies, practices and posted Q&As found online on its website.

In short, they deliberately let the public think they mean something that they themselves say they don't mean.

Church Militant, knowing details of this charge from months ago, know that the claim came forward from a "repressed memory" — something extremely dubious — and according to the majority of expert psychologists, far from credible.

Archbishop Vigneron and his "independent" review board knew this as well, which begs the questions:

Why would a review board comprised in large part of Vigneron’s attorneys decide to accept a dubious claim; and then make a very public show of yanking him from public view; and give the Associated Press an interview during the investigation; and announce the allegation with all the bells and whistles it could muster, deliberately using misleading definitions for the canonical term of art "semblance of truth"; and have hundreds of millions be exposed to the story in the secular media; and not even offer Fr. Perrone an opportunity to at the very least deny the allegation publicly and claim his innocence publicly?

Something is not right with this case — the charge, the handling of it, the review board's treatment of it; especially the review board's handling of it, something is not being told about the review board's approach to this case: their rationale.

Frankly, it seems like something is being covered up here or dodged, trying to be swept under the rug.

And Vigneron's hitman Bugarin's non-stop appeal to "the process" isn't cutting it. The process, in this case, does not just appear to have been corrupted.

It manifestly has been corrupted in violation of the Pope's own recently publicized guidelines and the canon law of the Catholic Church.

This is the anatomy of the takedown of a highly respected priest ladies and gentlemen, a sleight of hand using deceptive language — using the words, but switching their meanings.

Church Militant is developing multiple leads on this case, speaking with archdiocesan staff who actually know a great deal about this case and the history.

Rest assured that we will not rest until all the malfeasance infecting "processes" like the one injuring Fr. Perrone are exposed, because there is something very big and unseemly here to expose.
