  • Democrats Hate Life

    TRANSCRIPT

It's hardly a secret that the Party of Death hates life — hence their much-deserved nickname. And a primary target of their rage against life is aimed at the youngest among us. They are well-documented haters of the pre-born, proven time and time again. But the recent vote in the U.S. Senate to supposedly codify Roe was the icing on the cake.

After 50 years of reigning down death on children in the womb, it appears they are ready to suffer a major blow from the Supreme Court in the upcoming Dobbs decision, likely to be handed down the last week of June. While roughly half the states will place severe restrictions on the child-murdering industry, roughly half will proceed full steam ahead.

And now, woke Democrat child killers in charge of large corporations have promised to actually pay for employees who want to travel to the pro-death states to kill their children. Amazon, Apple, CitiGroup, Bumble dating app, Tesla, Microsoft, Yelp, Levi Strauss, Salesforce, Starbucks, Mastercard and Lyft, to name just some.

In fact, Lyft went so far as to promise to actually pay the legal fees for any of its drivers who get sued in Oklahoma or Texas for driving a woman to an abortuary to kill her child. In those two states, new laws allow anyone involved in the killing of a child to be gone after by private citizens.

Not wanting to miss out on the action, Uber rushed to the microphones to match that promise. As June gets closer, we can expect the list of companies supportive of child murdering to only increase. In their bloodlust, the Democrats have simply lost the ability to recognize, or even respond to, truth.

Large corporations have promised to pay for employees to travel to the pro-death states.

Like we said, truth and reason have left the building when it comes to the Party of Death. It's the same reason why so many American parents are now staring into the face of the evil that's been going on in their children's classrooms for a couple decades now as "teachers" indoctrinate their kids about the glories of transgenderism and masturbation and flipping sexual identities and any other perversion that spews forth from their own demented minds.

Again, notice the target — children. If they can't kill their bodies in the womb, well then, they'll kill their souls in the classrooms. That is, if they make it to the classrooms. Because in the midst of this, of course, we have the baby formula crisis, manufactured by the Biden administration's bungling of everything they touch.

But given the long track record of anti-child policies of the Democrats, it looks to be something much more than just bungling, especially when the children of illegal immigrants are given baby formula galore, yet citizens scramble for their own infants. The Party of Death orbits around the central notion that humanity, in and of itself, needs to be done in.

That is the single philosophy which animates the entire party — kill and destroy. Everything they do, every bill they introduce, every law they succeed in getting passed, has that as its goal. That's why humanity must be sacrificed "for the sake of the planet." That's why the economy can be wrecked. That's why families can have war waged against them on multiple fronts.

That's why pedophilia and child trafficking are so embraced. That's why contraception can be pushed wholesale. That's why homosexuality always gets the red carpet treatment. That's why child slaughter is sacrosanct — because it is the most direct way to end the race.

Fallen angels rebelled over this question — that God would assume human form.

The Democratic Party is diabolical, in the grip and control of the diabolical at the service of the diabolical, and does the bidding of the diabolical. It is the Antichrist. Period. The demonic hates humanity. The fallen angels rebelled over this very question — that God would assume human form and they would worship Him in that form.

They are in everlasting torment because of this single issue, and, until the world ends, they will vent their rage against human life. Now, considering all that, when you come to learn that approximately one third of U.S. bishops are registered members of this legion from Hell, you now realize just how bad things are in the Church.

And those are just the bishops who are officially Democrats. Huge numbers of others among them support bits and pieces of that agenda. And most disturbing is that the ones most faithful Catholics consider "good" say and do next to nothing about these devils in their own ranks. The world cannot advance in truth and goodness as long as the Church is floundering.

And the floundering will continue until the ranks of the shepherds are thinned or, better, completely purged of these homosexual monsters who advance Democrats, cover up sex abuse of children and seminarians, steal billions from the laity to conceal their crimes, sell off the patrimony of the Church and so forth. Their crimes have no end.

They don't believe the Faith; it's not even clear all of them believe in God. In fact, it's a safe bet there are either atheists or "practical" atheists among them. So while they prattle on about justice for the planet and justice for illegal immigrants, they profit handsomely from their fellow Democrats. Some of the bishops are evil, of that there is no doubt. Most of the rest are enablers of that evil.

Most have embraced the agenda of Satan one way or another, either through commission or omission, which means they should be perfectly comfortable spending eternity with him. Fools.

  • The Faith Controls

    TRANSCRIPT

As the political season really heats up and the merger between faith and politics gains greater scrutiny, there are some benchmarks that need to be kept front and center. The main one is this — in any attempt to preserve or restore a Christian culture, politics is at the service of the Faith, not the other way around.

Especially among self-identifying Catholics, no one gets to claim the mantle of Catholicism or claim that things are being done in the name of truth when lies or untruths or decidedly un-Catholic things are being promoted. The Faith cannot be distorted, maligned, associated with evil, whacky ideas or any other ideology with the excuse that "we need to win."

No ideology needs to win so badly that the truths of the Faith can be abused in the process. And it doesn't matter who you are, how old you are, what your motivation is — nothing excuses using the Faith, established by the Incarnate Eternal Logos, for your own ends, even if you are well intentioned. Nothing and no one uses the truth, regardless of intentions.

Sadly, though, the using of Catholicism seems to be somewhat common, especially in the world of politics. We are all familiar with the assault on the Faith from the so-called religious Left, the James Martin camp, for example, distorting and perverting theological truths so that men can be granted religious permission to have anal sex with other men — ridiculous.

But equally ridiculous is the indifference to sexual sins exhibited by Catholics on the so-called "conservative" side, where the embrace of homosexuality by fiscal conservatives has been deemed somehow acceptable — again, even by self-identifying Catholics.

Likewise, the marrying of prejudice and/or ethnic hate or mockery has absolutely zero place among anyone purporting to be Catholic and trying to restore Western civilization. Any understanding of Western civilization (built by the Catholic Church) that incorporates or excuses or laughs off hatred of ethnic groups, demeans a person's sex or envisions the Faith as a "white" religion is, frankly, disturbed, and deeply so.

Hatred based on skin color or DNA couldn't be further removed from Catholicism.

The early Church was almost exclusively comprised of Jews. St. Augustine was black. The Rwandan martyrs were African. Saint Paul Miki and his community of martyrs were Japanese. As St. Paul utters under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit to the stupid Galatians:

For, through faith, you are all children of God in Christ Jesus. For all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free person, there is not male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. And if you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham's descendants, heirs according to the promise.

Hatred, mockery or despising of someone based on the color of their skin or the DNA in their body couldn't be further removed from Catholicism. Likewise, appealing to weird race theories, attacking inter-racial marriage and a host of other activities and veiling it all in uncertain, undefined, vague terms and vocabulary is not Catholic by any stretch of anyone's imagination.

The Faith has been hijacked by competing political interests and placed in the service of sin. This is an abomination, a profaning of the holy, placed at the service of Satan. There is never any reason, no reason exists, that excuses this kind of activity.

None of this is to deny the reality of evil ideologies and various individuals and movements that have mobilized against the truth of Christ. These must be fought against with every fiber of our beings. But that fight must be waged with nothing but truth, not facsimiles of the truth, not provocation for its own sake, not cult followings, not half truths.

No one who is not properly formed in the Faith should ever be speaking in the name of this Faith, and it doesn't matter if you are a bishop, priest, religious layman, political leader — no one. The ability to be misled or, God forbid, mislead others, is simply too great.

The things of the holy should not be handled by those who are not striving for holiness themselves and in a usual state of sanctifying grace. If you are not a usual Mass attendee nor a frequenter of confession, you should never open your mouth in the name of the Catholic Faith and advance your cause, no matter how noble you believe your cause to be.

You need the humility to retire and learn the Faith in its fullness.

And even then, danger lurks, and you need trusted people around you to consult with and advise and discuss. When you enter into the Temple and preach in the name of the Most High, you had better be pure of heart. A political end is insufficient to this great calling, no matter the end. There is a far greater war at play than just a culture war.

There is a great spiritual war at play. It is, in fact, the war, and this battlefield may never be stepped onto without great preparation, training, education, forming. It is the height of pride to assume the mantle of holiness and truth and then place that truth under politics. It is the Faith that controls, nothing else.

If you are aware of your own formational and catechetical deficiencies, then you need to fall silent and retreat from that battle — lest you be consumed in it. If you are unaware of your own deficiencies, then you need to listen to those who tell you you have no place in the battle you are claiming a leadership role in.

If you persist in pushing sinfulness as an acceptable strategy to achieve a political end, then you need to have the integrity to stop wrapping it up in Catholicism, as though the Son of God blesses your agenda. He most assuredly does not. You are wholly unprepared to fight the diabolical, no matter how much Satan has fooled you into thinking you are brave and noble.

You are being duped by the demonic. You need the humility to retire and learn the Faith in its fullness — nothing less. The world does not need lies, even lies disguised as half truths. What it needs is the Faith in its fullness.

    TRANSCRIPT

Church Militant (a 501(c)4 corporation) is responsible for the content of this commentary.

In the rough and tumble of the political world — and it is rough and tumble — lots of fed up people are stepping forward. Among them are patriots and folks concerned about the cultural demise and faithful Catholics and younger folks and, occasionally, a combination of all the above.

Jacky Eubanks is running for a seat in the Michigan state legislature, and, to show the extent and reach of the Trump influence, this young lady running for a not-especially glamorous seat in Michigan's 63rd state house district has his much-coveted endorsement.

In some ways, she's not all that different from loads of other rank-and-file Republican rebels, fed up with, and challenging, the lethargic Republican establishment. And her motivating influence is the steal of 2020.

In fact, Jacky actually went door to door in her home area canvassing, asking individual residents if they did, in fact, vote. She collected enormous piles of data and has concluded, from her admittedly unscientific — yet exhaustive — research, that Michigan was, in fact, a hotbed of cheating.

The young firebrand believes all this is symptomatic of a much-deeper illness.

So now, motivated by justice, she's quickly rocketed to notoriety among the Republican peasantry, speaking to large audiences, asking them to help her capture that seat in Lansing so she can hold feet to the fire. She feels there is a lot of "unfinished business" that needs addressing.

For example, Jacky is intent on initiating a full forensic audit for the 2020 election and passing election-integrity laws. She also plans to introduce legislation to end all mask and vaccine mandates in Michigan — including at private companies and health care facilities — and wants to investigate and prosecute Gretchen Whitmer for nursing home deaths, sue her for damages due to closed schools and businesses and investigate and prosecute Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson for election fraud.

But the young Catholic firebrand, who believes all the Church's teachings, says all this stuff is just symptomatic of a much-deeper underlying illness, and, while the symptoms do of course need to be addressed, the question at the heart of all this has been fixed.

As you know if you watch Church Militant with any regularity, we are running into more and more of these people — committed Catholics and non-Catholics (who nevertheless are still of goodwill but need proper formation), all of whom recognize the times we live and are determined to do their best to preserve and restore.

  • Revenge Vote

    TRANSCRIPT

Church Militant (a 501(c)4 corporation) is responsible for the content of this commentary.

The assault against the RINO leadership of the GOP is now on full display as the primaries move into high gear. There are quite a few dynamics at play here, but the 60,000-foot view is pretty simple. Rank and file Republicans feel betrayed by their leaders, and, frankly, they feel that way because they have been betrayed.

It's extremely similar to what's going on in the Church. The parallels, in fact, are almost eerie. Catholics who actually believe the Faith feel betrayed by leaders who obviously no longer do. And while Catholic laity obviously can't vote bishops out of office, they can militate against them, expose their infidelity, make life generally annoying for them — all in the hopes of unmasking their wickedness so lukewarm Catholics wake up, realize they've been deceived and then actually learn the Faith.

Over in the GOP, it's a little more direct line of attack. In fact, it's all-out war. All across the country, RINO killers are running for office, with establishment types in their sights. Down on county levels, even precinct levels, the shock troops are gathering and drawing up their plans. At a recent GOP meeting in Macomb County, Michigan, it was all the revolutionaries, not a RINO in sight.

All the energy, in fact, is on the antiestablishment side, fueled almost entirely by the question of election integrity — and the reality that, when the chips were down, in the face of the 2020 steal, the leaders refused to do their jobs.

All across the battleground states, GOP establishment types betrayed their constituents, refusing to hear the pleas of regular voters. They were told to actually believe Joe Biden got 81 million votes. They were told to believe that voters all over the country voted Republicans into state and federal office in record numbers, but also pulled the lever against Trump.

They were told to believe that every single historical predictor of the outcome of presidential election cycles was simply wrong this time around. They were told to believe that all the evidence, sworn testimony from thousands of eyewitnesses, huge discrepancies in voting patterns, statistical anomalies in every key area in the country — all of that was wrong and meant nothing. It wasn't even worth exploring and should never be questioned.

Their wealth insulates them from consequences.

And all of this weirdness actually began on election night itself, as Church Militant covered live as events unfolded. Brushed aside, told to sit down and be quiet, to mind their place, to accept the results of a theft, the rank and file did something the establishment never anticipated — they refused. They refused and they quietly fumed, organizing their own investigations, holding their own hearings from Arizona to Michigan, from events in Texas to Trump rallies seemingly everywhere, the peasants began organizing.

And their target became the GOP elites, who dumped on them and, accordingly, they set their sites on the now-in-full-swing 2022 midterms. At the head of the pack on all this is, of course, Trump, who has been endorsing rank-and-file anti-RINO candidates on a daily basis. Yet even there there have been some rebellious stirrings even there. Even Trump isn't given a pass by his supporters if he appears to step out of line and endorse someone who's considered a potential RINO — like Dr. Oz in Pennsylvania.

But the Trump endorsement is considered political gold right now, with a remarkable showing of more than 50 wins against only one loss (as of Tuesday when this Vortex is being recorded). With key primaries this week and next week, things will come much more into focus as the question gets answered — is Trump king of the Republican party? Right now, there's not even scant evidence to suggest anything but that.

However, as we all know, establishment types never just go quietly into the night, accepting defeat and just retiring. They have spent decades constructing the establishment, mostly for their own personal gain (just like the bishops), and they aren't about to surrender.

In Michigan, for example, led by Betsy DeVos (who used to be Trump's Secretary of Education) and the DeVos family's enormous wealth, a counterrevolution is already underway, another attempt to ignore and crush the little man.

Church Militant was smuggled a copy of the secret invitation,

To that end, GOP royalty in Michigan — 17 families — held a secret meeting in one of the wealthiest communities in the state to strategize how to pool their money and defeat all the candidates in the state Trump has endorsed. Church Militant was smuggled a copy of the secret invitation, which was so secret that organizers would not disclose in writing the actual location. You had to call to get that.

They brought in Mike Pence practically under the cover of darkness, knowing how much he has become the poster boy for being a traitor to the cause of the little man. And this is no mere reactionary group. It is a confederacy of the richest Republicans in the state, who are determined to not let Trumpism take over in Michigan. Over the past few elections, these 17 families have contributed close to $100 million to establishment candidates, with the DeVos family ponying up $60 million of that.

Safe behind their walls and guarded compounds and country clubs, the elites of the GOP don't care what happens to the little people. Their group, which dubs itself the Michigan Opportunity Alliance, has been in existence since 2014 and was instrumental in helping get Democrat tyrant Gretchen Whitmer elected governor in 2018. Group members supported the wimpy, unexciting, typically boring GOP establishment type, state attorney general Bill Schuette — who got creamed by Whitmer, 54–43%.

But see, the establishment doesn't really care. Their wealth insulates them from the consequences of their actions. As Whitmer showed her true Marxist colors during COVID in this state, sending thousands of elderly to their deaths in nursing homes, forcing everyone into brutal lockdowns, facemasks and all the rest of it, the GOP elites went about life as normal.

Their servants went to the grocery stores for them. Their gatherings went on as planned behind their high walls. Nothing changed for them, nor, for that point, did it change for Whitmer, who routinely disobeyed her own executive orders and did whatever the heck she and her family pleased. There is no discernible difference, in fact, between the RINOS and the Dems, and it is exactly that which is causing the rebellion, the civil war within the party.

Biden and his idiocy have set the table for a massive red wave in the general elections in November. In the meantime, Republican peasants first have to overcome their crooked leaders, who have betrayed their interests for decades. Just as in the Church, it's not enough to just call yourself a Catholic. It matters what type of Catholic you are.

  • No Priests

    TRANSCRIPT

A couple of weeks back, the archbishop of Detroit, Allen Vigneron, in line to be the next president of the U.S. bishops conference, publicly bemoaned to the faithful that, for the first time in generations, the Detroit archdiocese would have no men ordained to the priesthood.

In fact, Detroit's track record for ordinations under Vigneron has been nothing less than abysmal, ordaining fewer than 50 men in his going-on 14 years as archbishop here. In the past 10 years, specifically, he's ordained just 42 men to the priesthood while, over those same ten years, 125 Detroit priests either retired or died. But at least he can pass the buck and say, "it's not my fault, it's happening everywhere."

On that score, at least, it would be the most truthful thing he's ever said during his reign over Detroit. Church Militant contacted every archdiocese in the country and compiled their numbers for ordinations this year. Here's what we found — for the 34 archdioceses in the United States, there will be, this year, around 100 ordinations. That is not only beyond pathetic, it is completely unsustainable.

Consider that 40% of all Catholics in the United States live in those archdioceses, 28 million souls. And yet, there will only be 100 newly ordained priests to serve their spiritual needs. That breaks down to just one priest for every 280,000 Catholics. Good thing most Catholics don't go to Mass or believe the Faith because, if they did, the few priests there are would not be able to keep up. The premiere diocese in the country, New York, also will ordain no one this year.

For the 34 archdioceses in the United States, there will be 100 ordinations.

In fact, 5 of the 34 will ordain no new priests. And 11 will ordain either one or two. In short, half of the biggest dioceses in the nation will ordain two or fewer men to the priesthood this coming year. According to a recent study from the bishops' own official bean counters, in the last half century, 1970–2020, there has been a whopping dropoff in the number of priests in the United States of 60%. Last year, 2021, there were only 441 priestly ordinations.

Now, what's curious in all this is the ecclesiastical head scratching going on, the question of why this is happening. In an interview addressing that very question, Detroit's vocations director, Fr. Craig Giera, said, "I don't know, statistically, why this [shortage] is happening, but I think the culture and secularization of our world is taking God out of everything, and men are not thinking about coming to the priesthood."

Conspicuously missing from his answer is the truth that the U.S. hierarchy has taken God out of everything in the Church. The bishops have not only de-Catholicized the Church, but most have embraced the secular culture that Giera points to as the cause. For example, does Fr. Giera realize that one of his predecessors as vocations guy, Fr. Jim Bilot, used to screen seminary applicants to see if they would be suitable for sex with some other Detroit clergy? Church Militant was informed of this directly by one of the victims — which is why we called Bilot and left him a voicemail to get his response. He never returned our call.

The bishops themselves are 100% responsible for their situation. They have refused to preach the fullness of the truth. A hefty portion of them are homosexual, which completely skews their thinking process, being more afraid of being rejected for saying the truth because, if there is one thing the entire gay mind orbits around, it is fear of rejection. That single fact defines their entire identity.

Half of the biggest dioceses will ordain two or fewer men this coming year.

Likewise, a practical result of not telling the truth is the major drop off in family size among Catholics — down from multiple children to the standard 1.4. It's simple arithmetic. The fewer young men there are, the fewer there will be available to be ordained. Likewise, as the bishops have greatly accelerated the cultural acceptance of sodomy and the whole gay culture has become dominant (and thereby more accepted), there is no longer a need for same-sex attracted males to go hide in the priesthood.

Through their inaction, the bishops have created a sexually immoral atmosphere in the culture, which is now causing earthquakes as it flows back into the Church. Of course, none of the ladies in mitres will have the testicular fortitude to admit any of this. Their sins of omission (and in some cases commission) are now being visited on them and, in a display of hubris unmatched by most, Allen Vigneron now calls on the laity to pray for vocations.

Give me a break. How can you ask God to step in and do something when you continually, consciously, actively work against the will of God at every turn? The U.S. bishops need to fess up publicly to their sins — all of them. They need to admit the damage they have caused, the severe damage and everlasting damage, and then step down. They need to condemn themselves and their predecessors, predecessors who constructed an "old queens network" and chased heterosexual faithful males from the seminaries in droves.

They created an old queens network they have personally profited from as they set the Church on fire, and, for clarity, bishops, that's Hellfire, not the fire of the Holy Spirit. Weak men, homosexual men, unfaithful men created the vocations crisis, nothing else. That is the problem — tired old queens who can't vacate their current posts fast enough, one way or the other. The only question is, will the next generation of bishops be any better? They have been "formed" under these feminine clowns, these Judases, these homosexuals.

We'll know soon enough because, in the next roughly two years, almost all of them will be gone: Dolan, Vigneron, Gregory, Cupich and so forth, a cavalcade of destruction the Church in America cannot survive another generation of. The next group must loudly and publicly denounce their predecessors and the carnage they have caused, pick up the pieces and try to salvage whatever can be.

The current homosexualist bishops may have already pushed the Church over the cliff. That we won't know for perhaps another few years, but, in the meantime, those waiting in the wings had better wake up fast.

    TRANSCRIPT

When Church Militant broke the story last year that the music director of the archdiocese of Detroit, Joe Balistreri, was/is an open homosexual, was living with his sodomite partner and it was a pretty much open secret in the Detroit chancery, we didn't realize just how right we were.

As a refresher, recall the secret surveillance footage that got the ball rolling on his "separation" from the archdiocese and the empty words from the chancery in language crafted by attorneys to deliberately obscure the truth from the faithful.

We heard through the grapevine (which is very extensive here in the homosexual-friendly archdiocese run by the homosexual-friendly Archbishop Allen Vigneron) that plenty of people were ticked at his outing — including the archbishop himself, who sources tell Church Militant still regularly inquires about Balistreri through various mutual acquaintances.

Some sources also tell us that Balistreri walked away with a pretty tidy sum of money in exchange for keeping his mouth shut about all the gay-clergy skeletons he knows about. In fact, it would seem, from his own recent words in a speech he gave, that the gay network under Vigneron runs quite deep here in Motown.

See, there's a heck of a lot admitted in those words from Balistreri (remember, an open homosexual living with his partner), who, sources tell us, was known by Vigneron and/or his various chancery officials. His own words — that chancery types were warning him to watch out for getting outed — seem to confirm all we have reported about Vigneron for some time, that he is part of the homosexual clerical network to at least some degree.

Do anything you like, just don't get caught.

And why wouldn't he be? Even more comments from Balistreri come from a YouTube presentation by multiple active homosexuals who once worked for the Church in defiance of the divine teaching on sodomy and many other teachings and yet have been coddled and protected by bishops and their staffs all over the country — including by Vigneron here in Detroit. Their comments (and there's no reason to doubt their veracity) reveal just how in league with this evil scores of bishops actually are. And it's not just an active homosexual employee they take that tack with, it's even clergy who rape altar boys and go after vulnerable seminarians, grooming them — or at least attempting to.

The motto of the gay hierarchy appears to be, "Do anything you like, just don't get caught because then we have to pretend we didn't know anything." That squares perfectly with reports from the archdiocese of Miami, for example, which, in the wake of Pope Benedict getting the secret files in 2010 compiled by laity of all the active sodomite priests there, unceremoniously dumped the sitting archbishop John Favalora.

Favalora was part of the O.Q.N. — Old Queen Network — dominant in the ranks of the U.S. bishops. During his 15 years in Miami, he cultivated such an extensive network of homosexual priests under him that one told a local TV station that if all the gay priests in Miami were to resign, they'd have to shut down the archdiocese.

That network was cataloged extensively in hundreds of pages of the report entitled "Miami Vice" — again, assembled by faithful laity. It was the reason for Benedict getting rid of Favalora. But that's just one example of what has become a backdoor network in diocese after diocese, backdoor because, from the public-facing appearance, all is good, but coming in the back door is the entire homosexual network, that door opened by homosexual bishops and their multiple gay staffers.

Oftentimes, opening that back door lets in the subset of gay rapists (of altar boys), who have to then also be protected by bishops, lest the entire network be exposed.

Two of these individuals worked for the archdiocese of Detroit for years. Balistreri was himself accused of trying to groom a young college student. None of these people think there is the slightest thing wrong with gay sex, and the bishops and their staffs either believe the same thing or are too cowardly to do anything about it — it's either one of the two. The only concern of the bishops is the potential PR damage if/when it gets discovered that either they themselves are gay or friendly toward it.

During his years in Miami, he cultivated an extensive network of homosexual priests.

Older Catholics, who they bilk for millions by pretending to be something other than they are, would not much appreciate all this deception. So from the front, all is good.

But it's that back door where all the damage is inflicted. Vigneron knew all about Joe Balistreri — paid him for years with faithful Catholics’ money, let him subvert teaching at every turn, dumped a priest who found out about the alleged grooming and reported it, allowed him to fill the ranks of parish music directors with like-minded and practicing gays and, when it was all revealed by Church Militant last year, sent him off with a nice payoff to keep his mouth shut.

So, question for you, Vigneron: Are you homosexual? Issue a statement denying it, now or never, and do what a bishop should do —  condemn and denounce the practice. What has been the relationship between you and your disgraced fellow archbishop and lifelong buddy John Nienstedt, a man who had quite the reputation for chasing after good-looking seminarians when you two headed up Sacred Heart Seminary.

Did you never hear about that? Why don't you reveal how much hush money you paid Balistreri? After all, it's not your money. It's ours. You just administer it. You are a shepherd, not a CEO. Tell the truth — how much of our money did you fork over to Bodman legal to draw up the secret settlement to keep Joe's mouth shut? Were you one of the ones he was threatening to out?

You can sit up on your ecclesiastical high horse acting as though none of this matters or is anyone else's concern, but you'd be wrong. It is very much our concern. The gay network here in Detroit has proliferated on your watch. In fact, according to the charges made by your favorite music director (who insiders tell Church Militant you sorely miss) the entire chancery practically is in on it.

So how about it, archbishop? Why don't you come clean? Fess up to your role in the O.Q.N., or out and out deny it and reveal the money amounts. And just so everyone out there is aware, Vigneron is next in line to become president of the U.S. Bishops Conference this coming November. If that isn't fitting, we don't know what is.

Maybe Mr. Balistreri can play the organ at the inauguration ceremony.

    TRANSCRIPT

The drama over the U.S. Supreme Court leak (revealing a high likelihood that Roe is going to be overruled) is playing out in grand fashion — exactly as predicted. The only difference is everyone expected the Left to become uncorked at the end of June when the actual ruling is handed down.

Most got caught off guard owing to the premature leak but, as usual, the Left has quickly regained its footing (just like it did after Trump was elected 2016) and is now on the offensive again — resorting, of course, to their usual weapons of violence, intimidation, all with the support of complicit media.

Those media giants, of course, back the child killers because they agree with them, and they agree with them because they share the same worldview and agenda. In short, they see the connection between all these agenda items of abortion, homosexuality, contraception, transgenderism and so forth. In fact, while those on the political Right seem in a fog about the connections, the Left actually trumpets them.

In an article this week in the alt-left publication The Independent, this headline summed up exactly what Church Militant has been pounding the drum about for years — so at least thank you, liberals, for making that clear to the zombies on the Right. Perhaps they'll listen to you, since they are all upset about our tone. The headline said, "Attacking Transgender Rights and Banning Abortion Are Part of the Same Theocratic Worldview."

The drama over the U.S. Supreme Court leak is playing out in grand fashion.

The Independent is spot on. It is all the same God-centered view. What else would it be? And again, the Left gets it, which is why they are attacking Catholic churches over the Roe news. They see the connection, but the Right either doesn't or doesn't want to. But, for the sake of Christian charity, let's say they simply don't see it.

Archbishop Fulton Sheen had some thoughts on both views. First, presuming ignorance, he said, "It is characteristic of any decaying civilization that the greatest masses of the people are unaware of the tragedy." He also said, "Humanity in a crisis is generally insensitive to the gravity of the times in which it lives."

But then, presuming a willful ignorance, he said, "Men do not want to believe their own times are wicked, partly because they have no standard outside of themselves by which to measure their times. If there is no fixed concept of justice, how shall men know when it is violated?"

However, there does appear to be, on the political Right, some stirring, some dim awareness of all this — that at the heart of the current crisis is a lack of understanding of the spiritual war we are in. At various talks I've given over just the past year (as well as Vortex episodes and so forth) where this theme has been pounded, even in front of specific political gatherings with mixed audiences of Catholics and Protestants, people always, without fail, come up afterwards and say, "I've never thought of this whole mess in these terms before."

"These terms" are nothing other than a Catholic worldview. Period. They aren't my opinions. They are truths of Catholicism, a worldview that is the only acceptable worldview there is. All others are wrong.

As the early 19th-century Spanish counterrevolutionary author, diplomat, politician and Catholic political theologian Juan Donoso Cortés once correctly penned, "Catholicism is the law of life, the life of the intelligence, the solution to all problems. Catholicism is the truth, and everything that departs from it one iota is disorder, deception and error."

This is the driving force behind today's crisis — the lack of faith. As Sheen puts it, "Only those who live by faith know what is happening in the world. The great masses without faith are unconscious of the destructive processes going on because they have lost the vision of the heights from which they have fallen."

Liberal Catholics are wolves in sheep's clothing.

So this begs the question, how have they fallen? It's a simple answer with multiple dynamics but, in short, because leaders of the only force capable of saving civilization have been severely compromised. Here's what Pope St. Pius X said in 1907 about what he saw developing in the Church and what needed to be done:

Liberal Catholics are wolves in sheep's clothing. The priest must unveil to the people their perfidious plot, their iniquitous design. You will be called Papist, clerical, retrograde, intolerant, but pay no heed to the derision and mockery of the wicked. Have courage — you must never yield, nor is there any need to yield. You must go into the attack wholeheartedly, not in secret but in public, not behind barred doors but in the open, in the view of all.

Pius, however, didn't realize that the very men he was charging to fix the problem, the priests, were already on their way to becoming the problem, even then. A hundred years ago, modernism had already established a beachhead in the Church. That's why Pius felt the urgency to address it in his 1907 encyclical. But while (at the time) a majority of clergy were not yet modernist, there was insufficient response to it.

In short, good men let evil triumph and, since that happened in the Church, then it was a short step to the chaos we see all around us today in the culture. This is why no strategy to restore the culture will achieve any real, sustainable success until the evil in the Church is properly addressed. Unfortunately, the clergy is too compromised, complicit or cowardly to do anything about it, as we see countless examples of every single day.

That means it falls to the laity, however few there are, who do understand what the Left so easily grasps — that what is going on is a war between the forces of God vs. anti-God. The big question has two parts — will a sufficient number of people wake up, and will they wake up on time to the real issue to turn this all around? It won't take very long to know the answer, one way or the other.

    TRANSCRIPT

Even before the COVID scamdemic, countless people suffered from mental and emotional illnesses. Many of you know that my own mother, whose sufferings and offerings on my behalf returned me to the Faith, suffered enormously from mental illness. She had crippling bipolar depression as well as acute obsessive-compulsive disorder — massive crosses not only for her, but for the whole family.

Her mental pains were likely brought on by an occasion when she was just 20, where she was brutally raped by her father in law while my father was temporarily away on short-term military duty. He had married her in England and, a few months later, brought his new bride back to his hometown near Dayton, Ohio, as he was decommissioning from the U.S. Air Force.

I knew none of this until the evening of the day when my father and I buried my mom — and my dad unburdened himself of a torturous secret he kept for over 50 years. That rape became the unknown, quiet horror at the center of our family, its tentacles reaching into every aspect of our lives and emotionally crippling my mother.

Through it all, it was the Faith of her childhood, instilled in her by fiercely-Catholic Irish parents, which kept her hanging on, and, yes, sometimes it was by the barest of threads. It was only years afterward that I learned from her that, while I was in high school one afternoon, she sat on the edge of the bed with a lethal amount of sleeping pills in her hand — ready to end the pain of her life.

Faith kept her hanging on, sometimes by the barest of threads.

A split moment before she ingested them, she had the inspiration to call information (411 for those of you who remember those days) and be connected to a random parish — where a priest actually answered the phone. I have no idea who that priest was, but he was able to convince my mom to put the pills down, speaking with her about eternity.

I share this with you to underscore that, in the end, the only real cure for a soul afflicted with mental anguish is God. Current psychotherapy has been completely divorced from the Divine for decades, and it is the patients who suffer even more as a result. Because of the increase in mental problems (which are, at their base, problems in the soul), Church Militant has produced a brand new Premium program on mental health.

Our expert is Thomistic psychologist Dr. G.C. Dilsaver, a man so respected in his field Catholic University Press said of him, in 2007, he "is rightly considered by many to be the father of Christian psychology." Dr. Dilsaver has been around the field a long time and published a book on dealing with mental pain, Imago Dei Psychotherapy.

One of the most reliable priests you will ever meet, Fr. Kenneth Baker, editor of Homiletic and Pastoral Review for years, said of the book:

In this treatise on clinical psychology, we find a current presentation which is fully in accord with traditional scholastic philosophy and theology. The whole Catholic worldview of man, made in the image of God, a composite being of spirit and matter, is the philosophical basis of Imago Dei Psychotherapy. This is an invaluable tool for Catholic counselors, psychologists and psychiatrists whose goal it is to bring their therapants to a state of mental health which is in accord with both the natural law and divine revelation.

It would be foolish to think that every institution except the field of mental health has been invaded by anti-Christian forces. Of course it has been invaded. Nothing has escaped the taint and stench of the diabolical. And, just as in the field of media (like us here at Church Militant and many other faithful Catholics laboring in their own fields of expertise), it will be faithful Catholics that will help restore and claim back what the Devil has so thoroughly corrupted. Psychology is no exception.

Even before the COVID scamdemic, countless people suffered from mental illness.

New episodes of our Premium program on mental health and the Catholic life come out each Friday every week, and, of course, all of them are available for viewing at any time for Premium members. If you are not yet a Premium member here at Church Militant, we highly encourage you to sign up today. For only $10 a month, you not only get access to this newest addition to the Premium lineup, but on-demand access to hundreds of other episodes covering a wide range of topics in the Catholic life.

Church Militant has not changed the cost of being a Premium member since we first rolled out this feature more than a decade ago, and we have no plans to do so. We know money is tight for many people these days — thanks to the current political climate producing increasingly harsh economic conditions for families — and we want to keep our Premium content always available.

So please, click on the link and sign up today so you can enjoy hundreds and hundreds of hours of content for the good of your soul. This newest show (Mental Health: Catholic Perspective) carries the very message that convinced my mother to put down those pills and pick up her Cross, as mightily heavy as it was. Catholicism is life, eternal life, and it is this Faith which teaches us that pain is temporary. Victory is forever.
