Stand fast.  Amidst A – L – L the temptations which surround you.” (FROM: Barnes’ New Testament Notes) I think that is quite clear and needs not further explanation. Ephesians 6:10 is a cross-reference for this commentary passage. It reads, “Finally, be strengthened in the Lord and in the strength of his power.” It is His strength we use to stand firm and for holding on to our faith in Him.
