    1.)   Humanity's Captivity - The Dominion

    2.)  Humanity's Condition - The Description

    3.)  Humanity's Course - The Direction

    4.)  Humanity's Crud - The Dirt

  • All Fall (pt.1)

    Our songs this week were:

This is Amazing Grace - Phil Whickham

Your Glory - All Sons & Daughters

All the Poor and Powerless - All Sons & Daughters

We returned to our study on the book of Romans this week!  Our new series is called All Fall and it comes from Romans Chapter 3.  Our main text is Romans 3:1-8 (NASB).

Our sermon points are as follows:

    1.) PROMISES of GOD

2.)  We value MATERIAL more than MORALS

3.)  We value EARTHLY TREASURES more than ETERNAL TRANSFORMATIONS

4.)  We see the BENEFITS of the BIBLE as BORING BURDENS

5.)  What is The WORD OF GOD to YOU?

Below are some things we should take to heart.  As professing Christians we are:

    Entrusted:

...to GRIP the Word and GIVE the Word

...to LEARN the Word and LIVE the Word

...to HAVE the Word and HELP others with the Word

...to POSSESS the Word and PURSUE others with the Word

...DOCTRINES and DISCIPLES are made with the Word

...CONVICTION and COMFORT come from the Word

    6.)  The PERSON of GOD...

           GOD is...

Faithful - With our without you

Immutable - unchangeable, immovable...no matter what

Righteous - Just, Lawful, and Correct

           Master - God is Lord

    7.)  The PENALTY of GOD

Here are some take-aways to think on this week:

1.)  Advantages are not Advantageous without Application

2.)  God's Word is not Beneficial without Belief that Births Behavior!

    Rvs:

    Romans 3:1-2 (NASB)

    2 Timothy 3:16 (NASB)

We learned that during these tough times:

We will be AFFLICTED but NOT CRUSHED

We will be PERPLEXED but NOT DESPAIRING

We will be PERSECUTED but NOT FORSAKEN

We will be STRUCK DOWN but NOT DESTROYED

We are challenged to talk to each other about what we glean from Galatians. To share how God is working in our lives and how we NEED each other.

26 For you are all Sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus.  27 For all of you who have baptized yourselves into Christ are clothed with Christ.  28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free man, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.  29 And if you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham's Descendents, heirs according to promise.

We had two homework assignments for this week:

Read Acts 11 - 14 as well as read all six chapters of the book of Galatians.
