If WE are not CONFIDENT then WE will COMPROMISE

How will YOU CONVINCE OTHERS if YOU'RE NOT CONVINCED?

Why was PAUL CONFIDENT?

Paul was CONFIDENT in the CONTENT...JESUS CHRIST!

1.)  CONFIDENT in the POWER

2.)  CONFIDENT in the PLAN

3.)  CONFIDENT in the PROMISE

4.)  CONFIDENT in the PRESENCE

               THE GOSPEL

is THE POWER OF GOD for salvation

Our focus this morning was the phrase The Righteousness of God.

1.)  The Sin Situation

       a.)  IMPUTE is to think of as belonging to someone therefore to cause it to belong to that person

2.)  The Set Standard

      a.)  Be HOLY as GOD is HOLY

      b.)  Be PERFECT as your HEAVENLY FATHER is PERFECT.

3.)  RIGHTEOUSNESS:  PERFECTLY meeting THE SET STANDARD

      a.)  God is a RIGHTEOUS JUDGE

      b.)  How can ANYONE be SAVED??

4.)  The Savior Solution

      a.)  JUSTIFICATION:  to be declared NOT GUILTY

      b.)  JUSTIFICATION not ONLY have YOUR SINS BEEN PAID FOR, but GOD has DECLARED that YOU PERFECTLY met the SET STANDARD 

5.)  THE DEATH OF CHRIST PAID THE WAGE FOR OUR SINS

      a.)  The RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD, which was FULFILLED BY THE PERFECT LIFE OF CHRIST is IMPUTED to OUR ACCOUNT

      b.)  The JOT refers to  yod (י), this is the SMALLEST LETTER in the Hebrew alphabet

      c.)  The TITTLE is a small mark in a Hebrew letter

      d.)  c e  (these letters were used as a visual to explain Tittle)

6.)  In THE GOSPEL The RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD, THE WAY TO PERFECTLY MEET HIS SET STANDARD, Is REVEALED...

      b.)  When we REDUCE ourselves in our Prayers the REASONS for our REQUESTS become CROSS FOCUSED (SAINTS and SALVATION)...not COMFORT                    FOCUSED (SELF, SAFE and SIN)
