Church Public

Do as I say not as I do. A mantra as old as civilization.
You may have heard it from your parents or grandparents but now you hear it everyday from your exalted leaders. They think they are better than you and that you won't notice they don't even follow their own rules.

James 1:22 - Do not merely listen to the word and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says!

Do what I say, not as I do is not a good motto, instead let's follow God and do what he says.

Discipline is a really difficult concept in today's culture of parenting. Some people think that you should just let your child do whatever they want. Others want you to be super strict and keep your child from everything.
What's the best way and what aligns with God's way?
Today Matt and Bethany talk about what they have learned along the way through parenting 4 children.

We are Matt and Bethany and we don’t have everything figured out
We are working through this parenting thing like everyone else.
However, we are very aware that our time with our kids is SUPER short and we NEED to do this the best way we can. SO from very early in our marriage we began talking about what it would be like to parent well. We have learned a lot. We have made a LOT of mistakes but we also have read a lot of books, listened to a ton of podcasts and met with many parents that are a stage or two ahead of us. We don’t know it all but we’d love to start a dialogue with anyone who will listen about how to parent together.

Here's Part 1 of our Parenting Sessions.
We will release a few more over the coming weeks - subscribe and hit the notification symbol to get notified when the next one is released.

There are many out there today who are claiming you are responsible for the sins of your father or great grandfather or great great great great grandfather. Is this Biblical?

There are pastors out there that claim this idea comes from the Bible. This Theology Tuesday let's take a look at what the Bible actually has to say about Generational Sin and whether you are responsible for it.

Critical Race Theory was created in the 70s by lawyers to address racism but the roots go much deeper back to Marxism and Socialism and Communism. CRT is much more than a theory looking at a problem, it has evolved into a worldview that affects and infects all parts of life from schools to corporations and the government and the military. And this theory is the opposite of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
