When the Spirit of God moves and works in our life, there will be questions! Are we ready for the questions? The questions from the world as well as the questions from faith! Today we are reminded that questions and faith go together - they are natural partners. The killer of faith is when we stop asking questions. So here’s our question today - How accepting are we when our non-Christian family and friends ask us tough questions?

We begin our study of one of the most important events in the history of the church - Pentecost! What does it mean? What happened? Why is it so important? What is the significance of that event to our church today? We begin a close examination of Acts 2, studying only the first 4 verses - but oh are they packed with meaning!

We study another in-between moment in the lives of the first disciples of Christ - that moment in between the ascension of Jesus but before the Holy Spirit came upon them. Today we begin our study of the Book of Acts. The “Acts of the Apostles” is actually a sequel, picking up where the Gospel of Luke left off. We’re calling today’s teaching - as well as the entire series, “Sequel & Requel.” Why? Because Church Requel wants to be a “Requel” kind of church - a church like those first churches we read about in Acts. So as we study the good and the bad about those first early days in the church, we learn about what we also should do (or not do) in our own church.
