Avery is one of those BKFs (big kid forever) like I am where we continue to get older but refuse to get old! He’s now the proud dad of a son AND a daughter and he talks about the joys, challenges, hopes, and concerns surrounding both as well as how it’s affected his and his wife’s outlook on life.

While walking down my street, I thought about the streets that people have been crowding the last several days and I can’t help but wonder where Jesus would be if he were here right now. I personally believe he’d be right alongside broken humanity, giving no regards to social distancing, but rather unmasking the façades, healing the hurt, and loving the lost.

I recorded my first episode at 3am after drinking espresso at 8pm (trust me, this is not typical), which ironically has to do with resting and how I struggle oftentimes with what it even means to “rest.” I’m learning how to not just do it occasionally, but to actually BE at rest long-term.
