On Friday, September 29th in Smithers, BC on Wet'suwet'en territory a new Totem Pole is being raised at Walnut Park Elementary School. This pole will bring awareness to the area of land which was once a vibrant Wet'suwet'en community called 'Indiantown'.

For months northwest BC has been locked into a level five drought right across the region.

As the summer turns into fall increased bear activity is happening in every community from Prince George to Terrace and is some cases ending with a dead bear.
