There are cigars with aged leaf, and then there are aged cigars. They’re two VERY different things. You hear about them out there in the wild. There are lots of cigars with blends that tout aged leaf. Sometimes the leaf is aged 5, 10, even 15 years. And those are considered desirable among aficionados. Then there are the aged cigars. These are the ones with yellow cello. During this episode we’ll discover what sets them apart from all the rest. We’ll also discuss the methods of aging that aficionados pursue to create extra levels of refinement in their cigar experiences. Join us as we dive into the dark murky waters of aging cigars.

This time of year, Santa is gearing up to deliver gifts to those well behaved men and women of the world.
So I have no idea why he would come by the Cigars Daily HQ to visit the likes of Billy, Terrence, Ryan, and me. But here we are, confused as we are grateful. During the episode, we will discuss some of 2025's new projects, share some Christmas traditions, and look at the Christmas selections of aficionados from all around.

On this show, we joke that American January is Nicaraguan April. It's a tradition in the cigar world for projects to experience delays. There are few few projects that reach the cigar community at the proposed date and time. But these two blends from Southern Draw Cigars absolutely take the cake! The Southern Draw Morning Glory and Evening Primrose were announced by the brand in 2022! Now, OVER 2 YEARS LATER, these two cigars have actually passed the final stages of production. During this episode, we'll take a look at what makes these 2 blends so unique, and talk a little about why they might have taken such a long time to come into existence... plus get a peek at what's behind the blend and flavor profile.

The term aficionado gets thrown around far too much. But who exactly qualifies as a true cigar aficionado?

Is it about how long someone has been into cigars, or does it come down to knowledge and expertise? In this episode, we dive into the cigar world to explore cigar nerds, newbies, and even industry professionals to uncover what truly makes someone the “real deal.” Whether you’re just starting out or consider yourself a seasoned enthusiast, this discussion is for you!

Limited Edition Cigars are just the worst! They’re here today, gone tomorrow. Every year, we hear about amazing projects from the best cigar makers. But once they release they’re gone in a flash. The most painful part of these short run blends is when people enjoy them! It leaves the aficionado feeling… empty once they’re all gone. During this episode, we’ll be taking a look at some of the current LE projects that the industry’s most beloved blenders have been working on. Some may be better than others… personally, I just hope they’re all terrible so that I don’t have to miss them when they’re gone!

The holidays are here, and you know what that means – lots of time with family and friends. Some of these are people you’re excited to see… others are people you’d be just fine never seeing again. In any family group, you’re bound to find some people who are concerned or even hostile to the cigar lifestyle. These are the people who want to go on and on about how horrible your cigars smell. During this episode, you’re in good company. As a community of aficionados, we’ll get together to chat about a few of the best ways to respond to the critics and enjoy the holidays even more.

Viewers of Cigars Daily LIVE know that I’ve got a pretty low view of cigars made by celebrities and influencers. It seems like lots of notable people have an expectation that they can slap their name on a blend and people will just fall in love with it. But that’s not the way it works. For a cigar to be great, it has to be made by a true aficionado, who’s prepared to get behind the blend and engage with the cigar loving world. That happens to be the exact case with Jeremy Siers and the Hold Fast Cigar

On this episode, we're taking things back to the era of the wild west… which is when I started working on the Diesel Desert Walker with Justin Andrews. This project has been a LONG time in the making. But like a well protected stage coach, these cigars have finally arrived! Tonight, we're discussing the newest Diesel Cigar, which has been expertly tailored for the portion of the cigar world that loves bold, dark, powerful Broadleaf blends!
