The Shining. Yup you heard that right CineNerds! This week we are tuning and breaking down this 1980 Kubrick classic. Isolation… insanity… GET IT!? Super relevant. Anyway. Films of this caliber are often revered and rarely criticized. So we thought, hey, let’s get nitty gritty and dig into the details of how this film was made and how it translates to audiences today. This episode is filled with hilarious rants, criticism and Kathryn’s spot on Jack Nicholson impersonation. So sit back, relax and let your ears munch on this scary snack.  Are you going crazy in isolation? What do you think of The Shining? Hey CineFlixters! Well well well, another Netflix original eh? Yeah, duh. What else are we gonna watch? This last week Netflix premiered the new film Project Power, featuring Jamie Foxx, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Dominique Fishback. We can definitely say one thing, both this movie AND our episode are very entertaining. What would our super powers be? Why couldn’t the Frozen girl regulate her own temperature? Does that mean that Jamie Joxx’s character had to have sex in that 5 min while he turned into the shrimp thing? Why, why in the hell did Kathryn think that Tracy Morgan was dead? So many important questions. So tune in cine-fuckers and activate that pillllllllll...  What would your super power be? Let us know at @cinejunkiepod on insta, facebook, twitter and YouTube. Hey CineFreaks! Well, it has been a long and tired summer not seeing any new releases in theaters. So we have again returned to NETFLIX to watch shit. The Old Guard, featuring the one and only Charlize Theron… It wasn’t a highly anticipated movie for us, and we didn’t like it, so there was a lot to discuss. Noémi even wrote a diary during the film. It’s sad and fabulous. Lol! It’s a really fun episode discussing all that was great and all that could have been. Bon appétit CineFam!  What did you think of The Old Guard?  Let us know at @cinejunkiepod on insta, facebook, youtube and twitter! This film was picked by Kathryn who is a huge fan of the film and the book. Did she read the book? No. But does she respect it? Absolutely. This film is so much more than your ordinary zombie film. Full of complex characters, intricate research, close relationships and oh my god did we forget to say that fuckin Glenn Close is in this? Yeah. Star studded with great actors and a talented director, this definitely stands out amongst so many great zombie flix. And this episode definitely reflects that in the same sense of both combining history, current events, laughs and real talk. So strap yourselves in for both a hysterical and moving episode featuring Germaine Thomas and Hakey Zere.  What did you think of Da Five Bloods? Love it or hate it?
