Neal deep dives on the frustratingly good UFC card coming up this weekend and Justin takes us home with a whopping four movies to review, including Battle of the Sexes and Tom Cruise's American Made.

We're pretty sure you're a little tired of all the flag talk related to the NFL right now, so we decided to leave it out of our football discussion this week. You're welcome. Instead, we discourse over the week that was on the actual playing field. Upsets, scares and surprises give us plenty to talk about. We break down UFC Saitama and Bellator: Bendo vs Pitbull then finish off the show with a review of Kingsmen: The Golden Circle and Neal talks about how he'd rather watch Jackie Chan jump over fences than see Tom Cruise portrayed as an action badass again.

One thing that is certain with our podcast topics is that nothing is certain. USC vs Texas was a thumping on paper but a classic when played out on the field. The Dallas Cowboys went from looking like a title contender to one whose offense is built around two second-year guys who defensive coordinators have figured out. Boxing put on a legitimate world class fight in GGG v Canelo but all anyone cares to talk about is the suspect draw decision and one judge's incompetent (corrupt?) scorecard. And then there was mother!, the Darren Aronofsky film that labels itself a horror flick, but is full of so much WTF that it's difficult to categorize. All that and more!

Two episodes in the same day!?! You know it. Chris came by after a late work shift to shoot the breeze about the recent developments in the Jon Jones steroid situation. We also talk about Demetrious Johnson's postponed attempt at breaking the all-time title defense record and the recent women's bantamweight championship fight.

Justin expounds on the disappointment he got from watching Dark Tower and the "something's missing" component of the movie Detroit.

NFL Preseason is upon us! Meaningful football is so close we can taste it. Speaking of taste, our First Four this week is all about our favorite fast food. From there we talk about Colin Kaepernick's consideration from the Ravens and the NCAA's strongarming a kid to choose between football and YouTube. We go over the highlights from an excellent weekend of fights including Jon Jones' masterful performance against Daniel Cormier and his callout of Brock Lesnar. Justin gives us the skinny on Ghost Story and Atomic Blonde then tells us which upcoming films are worth your time. Give it a listen!
