  • CinePsyEP022 Last House On The Left (1972)

    Jan 18th, 2016

Matt Has reached his wit’s end in his ability to process and deal with the films in the “Worst Weekend of Cort’s Life” series.  While Cort is shocked the film left Matt feeling so hollowed out and empty inside after the degradation and horrors that preceded it.  Matt nearly used his only get out of jail free card with Last House on Left only half over!  The show also has the first of Cinema PSYOPS’ feedback sent in via email as well!

Don’t Forget the contest guys and gals once we get 20 total honest reviews in iTunes and Stitcher, Cort will give away one brand new copy of Macabre from William Castle on DVD picked from those reviews, just email Cort your screen name or a screencap of your review and you are entered to win!

  • CinePsyEP021 Just Before Dawn

    Jan 10th, 2016

Cort and Matt open the show talking about life in the middle of nowhere as kids.  This opening dialogue quickly descends into a bizarre discussion of Mennonites and the Amish as the boys confuse their lifestyle choices and culture and then just straight out slander and accost them when they realize neither group would ever listen to the show. Cort goes audio clip crazy on this episode and even reveals what it was he looks for in his “final girl” and what attractive traits he likes in women.  Matt uses this opportunity to plunge the discussion into the immature gutter once again which causes interesting and hopefully entertaining results.

Don’t Forget the contest guys and gals once we get 20 total honest reviews in iTunes and Stitcher, Cort will give away one brand new copy of Macabre from William Castle on DVD picked from those reviews, just email Cort your screen name or a screencap of your review and you are entered to win!

Every week an obsessed film collector, Cort, will subject his unwilling test subject, Matt to films from Cort’s childhood viewing habits and personal collection.  Has a lifetime of movie watching damaged Cort’s young and impressionable mind?  Can Matt survive each week’s experiment unscathed?  Find out each week as we discover that physical wounds heal while cinematic ones don’t.

  • CinePsyEP020 I Spit On Your Grave (1978)

    Jan 4th, 2016

Cort reveals his latest invention when Matt accidentally walks in on Cort testing it’s functions and making sure it behaves as expected.  Cort has an unusual emotional outburst against 2015 because of all of the heroes that he lost in that year and can’t even muster himself for the full list. This surprising emotional outburst makes Matt very uncomfortable.  The Boys then discuss every nuanced response that was dragged out of them from the film and the topics dealt with in I Spit on Your Grave that are often overlooked.  All in all this episode examines the cultural and societal issues that make a polarized film like I Spit on Your Grave necessary to create a dialogue to eliminate the victimization and objectification of women.  Some may think this film is just exploitative trash, but Cort finds deeper meanings in this film and tries to explain what he thinks they are and is shocked when Matt sees some of the same themes and attempts at an artistic expression that may be far too overshadowed by the exploitative elements.

  • CinePsyEP019 New Years at The House On The Edge Of The Park

    Dec 28th, 2015

Happy New Year!   May your New Year’s Eve celebrations never be like that experienced in “The House On The Edge Of The Park”. This week we find Matt deeply disturbed and very unhappy about the pain and suffering he has endured at the hands of Alex and Ricky in this house party turned horribly wrong, nasty as all hell rape revenge sleaze-fest.  The experiment was nearly proven when a film viewed by Cort at age 12 nearly shattered Matt’s sanity.  We have some great times with the PSYOP News segments this week to bring our spirits and yours back up to ring in the new year and forget the checkerboard slashing and that goddamn lullaby that ear-worms into your soul.

  • CinePsyEp018 Christmas In The Hills (that) Have Eyes

    Dec 18th, 2015

On the most joyous occasion of the year we decided to cover The Hills Have Eyes and discuss how families can come together in times of crisis.  Cort goes on an anti Star Wars rant and the boys start an impromptu lyric writing to the theme of Star Wars as well as Cort trying to keep the holiday cheer going in his own twisted way.

  • CinePsyEp017 Henry Portrait of A Serial Killer

    Dec 13th, 2015

This week we flashback to a botched surgery on the brain of our unwilling test subject Matt and then discuss Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer. Cort and Matt delve into the lowest and most ludicrous armchair psychology this week as they discuss the inner workings of the characters minds and offer over analyzed conjecture about the motivations for the choices they make in the film.

Oh and that pesky free stuff offer still stands review the show to get a chance to win the free dvd!

  • CinePsyEP016 Censor This! A The Video Nasties Special

    Dec 6th, 2015

This show on the Video Nasties documentaries is trim and mean.  It is a tribute to every opposition to censorship we could muster.   We packed it with the free speech of artists, comedians, and even “offensive” views and songs from multiple sources.

This show was meant to be salacious, scandalous and everything to start a dialogue and examine the consequences to censorship beyond keeping potty mouths clean.

Limiting access to information is a vile slippery slope and we wanted to celebrate the freedom of speech in as many ways as we could.

    Nov 29th, 2015

Double beasties and a bountiful supply of beauties await Cort and Matt as they discuss the films  Rawhead Rex and The Loreley’s Grasp.   its another endurance run this week as the chaps dive into the depravity and monstrosities within both films.

  • CinePsyEP014 Theater of Blood and Night of the Creeps

    Nov 22nd, 2015

This week is filled with severely in depth discussions of both films to the point were we just couldn’t squeeze anything else into a single file.  We stayed on target for so much of this that nearly every small side tangent was cut!

Despite these draconian cuts, we still have an episode that comes close to 3 hours.  What a couple of fawking windbags!

  • CinePsyEP013 Vampires Night Orgy and Dr Jekyll and The WolfMan

    Nov 15th, 2015

We get a few other sponsors with the law firm of Bogus, Fakes and Frauds as well as the best pest control in business Exterminators Extraordinaire!  These sponsors are welcomed now that we are in a small legal dispute with Sandy Shores.

Matt and Cort discuss varying burning questions about the semantics of what constitutes an orgy in terms of the numbers of participants, regardless of the participants being vampires or not.

During the review of Dr Jekyll and The Wolfman, Matt says one unkind thing about Paul Naschy’s portrayal of El Hombre Lobo and Cort loses his shit in a fanboy rage that results in a near fisticuffs between the two.  The boys immature nature of pestering and attempting to goad the other to anger comes to a small head in this show that is got to be heard to be believed!
