  • 35. Get Down on the Letdown
[su_dropcap size=”5″]H[/su_dropcap]ype can be a dangerous thing.  Often, our expectations can be fueled by a great cast, a dynamic director, or just general nostalgia.  Just as killer movies can actually be better than the hype (See: Dark Knight, The), many films turn into a big ol’ stinky letdown.  The only thing worse than finding out there ain’t no Santa Claus is discovering that there is one, but he’s played by Tim Allen.
This week, we discuss movies that had us pumped, only to subtract the wind from our sails by being incredibly disappointing.
So kick back, and let us break down the letdowns on Cinemavino!

  • Guilty Pleasures, Part II
Earlier in our podcast life, Travis and I discussed our favorite guilty pleasures.  As a refresher, these are the movies that haven't collected awards and adoration, but we secretly enjoy 'em anyway.  Everybody's got 'em.   Now that our sweet, innocent Taylor is on board, we decided to revisit our previous convo.

For this particular chitty chitty bang bang, we pounded some not-poisonous delicious Valoroso red wine.  It's made in Italy.  Or somewhere.  It ain't the best.  It ain't...the worst?

  • 33. Who Takes It?
It’s a pastime that dates back to our childhood action figures:  Take two of your favorite characters, real or not, and imagine them locked in combat.  Who wins?  That’s the premise of this week’s Cinemavino.
Our vino choice this week is Mr. Pink rosé from the Underground Wine Project.  As you may know, its name borrows from a character in Reservoir Dogs, which makes it pretty badass in our eyes.  This particular pink has everything good and great about rosé all day:  It’s bright, fruit-filled and well-rounded, but damned if the flavor isn’t dangerously smooth.
So kick back enjoy another episode of Cinemavino!
