Cinephiles and Cenobites

On this episode, the boys, Mox and Ono, produce another CCC-OMMENTARY track, this time for the film, North Shore (1987). The film turns 30 this year and Mox and Ono wanted to watch it to see if it holds up today. It does, for the most part. Listen as Mox and Ono drop some knowledge about the beaches, surfing and that island life. Cheeeeee. Prep your copy of the film and the boys will cue you in when to hit "PLAY." Listen along and enjoy.

On this episode, Mox and Ono discuss the second full-length feature film by David F. Sandberg, Annabelle: Creation. Mox enjoyed it. Ono really enjoyed it. The first 90 seconds into the discussion, Ono thinks Mox was talking about Annabelle: Creation, but Mox was actually talking about Lights Out. It's a bit confusing, so please bear with us. And be sure to check out this bomb-ass film. Thanks for listening!

One year ago today, Mox and Ono released the very first episode of Cinephiles and Cenobites. Didn't think we'd still be producing episodes/cinebites. We have a lot of content. And for no real reason other than we like watching and talking about movies and music. On S2EPZERO, we talk about the up and comings of the podcast, its' direction and format. Sort of. One Year, Still Here.

On this episode, Mox and Ono do another around of CCC-OMMENTARY (commentary) on the cinematic masterpiece, Predator (1987), directed by John McTiernan. The boys talk about delta force, drop trivia on the film, and observe and point out parallels between the predator and the rescue team. It gets interesting. Mox drops mad knowledge and Ono just gets mad. We have a few quiet parts due to technical distortions and Ono losing it. Cue up your players and sync your copy of the film and listen and watch along with Mox and Ono. They'll you know when to press "Play."

On this episode Mox and Ono talk about their recent viewing of the latest film in the new series of the Planet of the Apes franchise, War for the Planet of the Apes, directed by Matt Reeves. Mox tries to recall certain scenes (he fell asleep during key scenes) he may have missed, and Ono fills him in on some plot points while he tries to figure things out as well. We both enjoyed the film though. Heavily.

On this episode, Mox and Ono review the recently released, Kill'em All, directed by Peter Malota, starring the awesome, Jean-Claude Van Damme. Parallels are made to The Usual Suspects, and other films are talked about as well (Cyborg and The Matrix: Reloaded). They try not to get side tracked as they critique Kill'em All.

On this episode, Mox and Ono do another round of CC Commentary for the month of July (expect these at least once a month) on Rapid Fire (1992), directed by Dwight H. Little, starring Brandon Lee. They talk about The Crow a lot, Mox runs on several tangents, and Ono tries to keep it together. He doesn't. That's why there is a moment of silence between 44:04 to 48:21. He is ok now. Be sure to prep your players and sync your movies properly. They boys will let you know when to hit "Play."
