About Talk: What united the Jewish people on Palm Sunday today is what united the people on Saturday at March of our Lives: the common awareness that something is wrong in the world. The solution to that wrongness needs to be equally uniting too. We are shouting out, like Jesus said the stones would. Jesus inaugurates a new Kingdom that exists both over and under the world around us. It doesn’t need political power to rule. It’s subversive because it’s spread through love and peace, not hatred and fear.We extend that Kingdom in our own right, right here, as a congregation. We’re doing that work of sharing the radical love of God in community, and in our cell movement. That’s why we have cells, to keep telling this story and giving access to a God that offers a new vision to the world. We also extend that radical way of doing things, not through conquest, violence, or a new President, but as it is inaugurated in our lives.
