Most of the people in the Hwange rural have not yet received their second jab as they responded a bit late due to the distance from villages to the clinics. Worrisomely, some villages have not yet started the vaccination process to be inoculated against Covid 19 as they want the nurses to visit their homesteads. Efforts by the Ministry of Health and Child Care (MoHCC) to visit villages for vaccination sometimes hit a brick wall or delayed due to poor road infrastructure. Some of the roads are bumpy and difficult to negotiate.

Information on the Covid 19 Third jab popularly known as the ‘booster shot’ was not well published. As the country fights the novel coronavirus, many people in Hwange have not yet heard of the third jab. Hwange lacks communication infrastructure, with no local radio and television airwaves and few people buy newspapers. The majority of people rely on social media and satellite television for information.

There is an army of mostly small ghost accounts with very weird pseudonyms as user names for example NdiniMzimba wacho, Itipwe and a set of other names that make it impossible to identify the person . Their profile pictures are either blank, using cat fish pictures of internet models or have a mean animal like a frowning cat or a donkey, the list is endless. They have come to be known as Varakashi, a shona phrase which means crushers. They gang up on opposition supporters when they share their opinions which do not praise the current government.

Most of the youths in the Beitbridge Rural Area were left out in the registration process to participate in the 26 March by elections despite the mobility of the registration. Most of the youths in the district do not participate in the voting process mainly due to lack of information as some were not aware of the 26 March by elections even though some do not vote as they see it as a waste of time since there's no change even If they participate. A number of youths in Beitbridge district namely Tongwe would like to participate but they did not get the information on time to register for the 26th March by-elections which resulted in a low turnout.
