  • 1606: Upholder of the mechanical system
Temple of Heaven Park, Beijing reimagined by Karhide:
" The remix started out with creating multiple tracks of building drones and glitches using the Objeq Delay by Applied Acoustic Systems and Valhalla Room by ValhallaDSP. These were then split in to two types of drones the first was made up of the full field recording and then the second was shorter chopped up looped sections. Finally I created a beat using the D16 Group Drumazon and added additional processing to the beat with Dmitry Sches Tantra."

  • 1604: Quantumised Beijing Drum Tower
Beijing Drum Tower reimagined by Simon Le Boggit: "Quantumised Beijing Drum Tower was created by isolating full single drum-hits from the original soundtrack, and using them as individual sound samples. Each sample is triggered randomly in isolation, and then repeated a few times. Any apparent connection between adjacent drum-hits is purely coincidental, so any perceived rhythm and syncopation is a product of chance, plus the human mind's compulsion to identify patterns."

  • 1600: Houdini's Escape from Tre Croci
A recomposed version of a mountain stream in the Dolomites, using the only known recording of Harry Houdini's voice. Here, his ultimate escapology challenge is reimagined as an escape from inside the mountain - his voice declaring 'allowing the water to escape' symbolises that the mountain stream is Houdini's only safety valve in his attempts to stage the ultimate escape.

  • 1598: Shudder journey
Train journey from Ruse to Varna in Bulgaria, reimagined by Manuel Guerrero, April 2017.
"Shudder Journey is a quite personal reimagined sound. From the first time i listen the original recording of the train 'till the making of, many things happen in my life: i ended a bachelor's degree educative program, but i was (still) unemployed, in a bad mood and with a lot of worry about the next months and years. There was so much to decide about the future, but with few time to stop and think clearly. In that moment i realized the likeness with the train soundimage that i heard before: We keep around on the 'train of life', even if we don't where we're going; In the hard times, sorrounded by the clash, or in the moments when the wheels of the train runs smooth and make a cozy environment, the only thing that matters is that we still alive, with the volition for moving on through the uncertainty."
