Join Executive Director Jess Stahlnecker as she interviews Alexis Pasternak about the UNESCO initiatives that have become part of our public schools. Alexis is from Haverford Township, Delaware County, PA. She is a wife, and mom and lives in the same town she grew up in. Alexis' son attends Haverford School District, her alma mater. She left her job in 2010 to be a stay at home mom.
Like many parents, she had a wakeup call during a virtual school day in 2020. After that she went from 0-60 and started REALLY looking at her district's website, policies, meetings minutes and videos, and researching in general what is happening in education (locally, PA, U.S., globally).
You will love this conversation and the receipts she brings. In fact we're sharing some of the links here so you can do your own research!
