As the solstice approaches we tip our Folk Oasis touque towards our polka-playing friends who will no longer have their own category at the Grammys. Besides, June is Accordion Awareness Month! 8:30 interview tonight with Jim Byrnes, whose CD release show is June 19 at Richards on Richards. Turns out he's a polka and bratwurst fan too! Who knew??

Hey everybody, I'm in New Orleans. Even saw some surprisingly bad music last night, but that'll change soon! Having good time and thanks to Jim Burnett of "Code Blue" for filling in this week. Laissez les bons temps rouler!!

Campus was vibrating tonight with the AMS Block Party (yr-end student bash) - the Roots onstage across from CITR headquarters. We mellowed out indoors with a live set from local singer-songwriter John Pippus. Classic Gordon Lightfoot vinyl near show's end - he's in town this Friday and Saturday.
