Summer has returned to Vancouver! This evening we heard from several bands who will be at this weekend's Mission Folk Festival, also a phone interview with Jeremiah McDade of The McDades. Special guest in the studio, banjo in hand, was Linda McRae. Her CD release/moving to Nashville party happens Saturday at the Railway Club - get down there if you can!

The 30th annual Vancouver Folk Music Festival takes place this weekend, so we filled the two hours with a musical preview. Tonight's interviews: Mihirangi, a Maori artist who wowed us at last year's festival and is back; and Dugg Simpson, the artistic director of VFMF who is looking forward to a sunny and fun-filled weekend.
