Felt like a full moon night..please pardon the technical difficulties (and accidental choice of Dash Rip Rock song!).

I'm smitten with the new Oh Susanna CD - do run out and pick up a copy. Better yet, see her live if you're able. http://ohsusannamusic.com/

8:30 interview with New Brunswick songwriter David Myles and an impromptu visit from fellow CiTR flack DJ Goulash late in show. Remember your moms this Sunday!

    smooches and thanks for listening,

Cold's gone! (thanks for the encouraging and kind notes)
Tonight we dipped into new Canadian releases, some of the new Putumayo label offerings, rambled on about the full moon and played one of the best Canadian folk songs ever written (imo) by Gordon Lightfoot.
    May your May be sunny..

If my voice gets any freakin' deeper I'll be up for the next Darth Vader pic.. Lots of local and Canadian releases this week, as well as a l'il Alejandro Escovedo and Townes Van Zandt thrown in for good measure. Featured phone interview at 8:30 was with a fine Albertan singer-songwriter, Joel Kroeker, currently touring his new CD. As he reminds us, we should all try to support live music despite the hockey playoffs. Amen to that!

Hello lovely listeners and apologies in advance if the sound quality is not quite up to snuff (studio monitor issues).. Featured tonight was the new FABULOUS cd by Monsieur Ry Cooder, dedicated to and inspired by the late great Buddy of Red Cat Records. We also had a healthy dose of Celtic and Celticesque music to mark Vancouver's Celticfest and the imminent arrival of St. Patrick's Day. Slainte y'all and thanks for listening! (and did I say the new Ry Cooder cd is fabulous??)
