CiTR -- Trancendance

Breakbeats and Techno

Back in the studio after just over a year, DJ Solitare chat's about playing in Belgium and plays some new school Goa Trance on Trancendance.

Bit of a re-hash of last year's Parkproof set as I attempted to play something slightly more mellow ;)

In my crate, I use a colour coding system for my tracks. It used to be more complex, but now I basically just colour kick-ass tracks in blue. This week there's no new stuff. Nothing that might be mediocre. It's all blue, all the way through!

A few fave progressive pay tracks.

After weeks of psytrance and techno, this deep epic trance set came together beautifully! Like a modern day symphony...

A few new tracks tossed on with some of my current faves

Uptempo melodic psytrance

Well, I've been away for 3 weeks in a row, and I think it's been even longer since I pushed a podcast out... glad to be back after what's quite possibly been the longest hiatus that Trancendance has had in over 15 years! Still didn't have much time for new stuff this week, but managed to pull together some progressive psy faves on short notice and had myself some fun to wind up a great Father's Day!

This week DJ Lace was in the studio to talk about his unique style of live multimedia performance which you can see on Saturday April 21st at Sequential Circus 22. Lace has been involved in the Vancouver electronic music scene for decades, which left us with no shortage of things to talk about. Arena raves, after-hours, home-brew lasers, midi video, Jean-Michel Jarre...
