How is it that one can use spiritual gifts in the church and not be a benefit to others? How is it possible that one can actually be a burden if they lack this one crucial element? Why should love be the highest priority when using spiritual gifts?

3. Without love your sacrifice is worthless

What does it look like for the local church to "suffer with one another" and to "rejoice with one another"? How does the church suffering with and rejoicing with its members display the wisdom of God in the gospel to the watching world? 

How is every single member of the body, significant or seemingly insignificant, vital to the spiritual well being of the church? How can we think about ourselves rightly in the church body when we are tempted to either check out or compare ourselves with others and their role in the church?

What is it about the church that makes it stand out among any other group, organization, or entity? How does the identity of the church being the body of Christ shape not only its identity and purpose but the priorities of its individual members and their relationship with other members as they use their spiritual gifts for the benefit of the church body?

2. You are part of Jesus' body

3. You are needed

4. God placed you here

How do we as modern day believers understand the purpose and place of the prophetic and revelatory gifts in redemptive history? How do we understand the role these gifts had in the spread of the gospel through the early church?

What power is available to the believer? What words can the believer pray for God’s strength and love to be made known to them?
