This Sunday, Chris and our guest speaker and dear friend of City Church OTR, Rich Thompson, co-taught on international missions. The Bible calls us to take the name of Jesus to all nations. For some, that mission begins right where we are—in our homes, workplaces, and communities. But there is also a special calling to go to the nations, carrying the gospel to places where people have never heard the name of Jesus. The need is great, and the invitation is clear: we are sent to reach the unreached.

This week, Rob Groves shared about what it means to be on mission in our very own city. God has placed City Church in Cincinnati for a purpose. We are here to love people the way Jesus does, to share the gospel, and to see the Kingdom of God take root in our city. We carry a deep burden for Cincinnati and a desire to see our city transformed by the love of Jesus.

This week, Chris kicked off our Missions series by asking three foundational questions: What is the Kingdom? What is the Gospel? And what is mission?Throughout this series, we’ll explore the many ways we are called to live on mission in our everyday lives. Mission isn’t just something we do in certain places or seasons—it’s a way of life. We have been sent, and there are countless ways we can live as people on mission right where God has placed us.

This week, one of our elders, Blake Smith, shares about the Church as the Bride. The Bride is one of the most frequent ways the Bible refers to the Church and the analogy of Christ and the Church displayed in marriage is deeply meaningful. The Church is an imperfect, yet wholly loved and chosen Bride, and we get to be pursued by the greatest Bridegroom of all time. Listen in as we unpack The Church as the Bride of Christ.

Sheep need a Shepherd. They also need each other. This week, Stephanie Young dives into how the Bible frames the Church as the Flock - a community of sheep who are made to be together.

This week continues our series on The Church, as Matt Massey, pastor of Vineyard Cincinnati teaches us how the Church impacts the world as a Kingdom of Priests. As part of the new priesthood Jesus ushered in, we are called to bring hope to the world, bridging the gap between the world and the God who loves them.

This week, we continued our series, The Church, with a message from one of our Elders, Ben Owliaie, on what it means to be a city on a hill. As the Church, we're called to reflect Jesus brightly and clearly to the world around us. In a culture marked by cynicism, we have the opportunity to stand out by remaining faithful and pointing people to the hope found in Him.

This week, one of our elders, John Polesak, taught on The Body of the church. He explored six things that can defile the body and six practices that bring restoration. Just as the human body works together when one part is injured, the church is called to support and strengthen one another through seasons of weakness and healing. This is a beautiful picture of what God's people can be. As we grow into a healthy body, we become better equipped to make a lasting impact for the Kingdom.

This week, we kicked off our seven-week series, The Church. Our good friend Dave Workman taught on The People, the unique and set-apart people who make up the Church. He explored what gives us hope, what shapes our identity, and what sets followers of Jesus apart in the world.

This week, Chris wrapped up our series on Romans 8, VIII, with a teaching on Romans 8:38–39. He explored the powerful truth that nothing can separate us from the love of God. God's love reaches each of us in the way we uniquely need, yet He loves every one of us fully and completely. Not even death nor life can separate us from the love of God.
