We continue with our second week of focus on Biblical literacy, and Elder Larry speaks on how The Bible tells one unified story that leads us to Jesus and as followers of Christ we read it for formation into the image of Jesus instead of just for information.

Raphael Mnkandhla introduces the Year of Biblical Literacy and speaks on Jesus’ relationship with the Bible and how we, as followers of Christ, aim to have the same kind of relationship in Mathew 4:1-11, John 5:39-40 and Luke 24.

As we come to the year we need to be reminded in Luke 2:8-20 that in Jesus God promises good news of great joy that will never change despite circumstances. The Christian life then consists of fighting for joy in Jesus.

We are still in our advent series. In this sermon, we examine the Spirit-inspired proclamation from Zechariah in Luke 1:67-79 which gives us a beautiful and powerful picture of the gospel. Here we see how the advent is good news that God visited us, continually visits more lives and helps us look forward to the promise that he will visit us again. In his coming, he works renewal.

This Advent Season we explore the Fourfold Gospel and how it is central to our understanding of who Jesus is. We will examine  Gospel through the lens of Luke's narrative of the promise and anticipation of the Messiah. In this sermon, we see how Mary magnifies the Lord for his work of restoration of his people. We too are called to be a God magnifying people.

This Advent Season we explore the Fourfold Gospel and how it is central to our understanding of who Jesus is. We will examine the Fourfold Gospel through the lens of Luke's narrative of the promise and anticipation of the Messiah. In this sermon, we see how God initiates and continues the work of grace in Mary to accomplish the Lord’s will and Mary surrenders in humble obedience to God’s work in her.

The Promised child will be named Jesus: the Saving One. This Advent Season we explore the Fourfold Gospel and how it is central to our understanding of who Jesus is. We will examine the Fourfold Gospel through the lens of Luke's narrative of the promise and anticipation of the Messiah. We can celebrate that all the promises of Scripture find their "Yes" in Jesus.
