Rome Herbert currently serves at his church in Indianapolis, IN, engaging the community creatively through concert series, songwriting workshops, and various activities to engage residents with an extraordinary presence. He also served on staff at City Hope from 2018 - 2021 as the Outreach Director. Welcome back Rome!

Where should I look when I need help making a decision? What's the source of wisdom? Join us as we continue looking for ancient wisdom from the book of Proverbs and learning how God provides wisdom to us.

Before you are endless opportunities, options, choices and yet which is best? How do I know? The first thing to determine is the end goal. If we know what the end goal is we can better determine a map to getting there. The book of Proverbs helps to give us this framework for wise living. Join us as we continue looking for ancient wisdom in an artificial time.

At any moment we can find almost any piece of information that we can imagine. Just ask the internet or your favorite AI chatbot. And yet, has all this information made us wise? Has it made our lives measurably better? Has it improved society? Even in the midst of this information revolution, we live with great confusion about life's most basic questions. What is the good life? How do I live with other people? How do I make work meaningful? What is ethical? What we are longing for is wisdom. But, in the an artificial time, we need something to anchor us deeper than a basic AI answer. We need an ancient wisdom. Join us as we look to the book of Proverbs and learn what wisdom is and how we can apply it to the very practical questions of life.

We don't know when we will face death, but it will come to all of us. How can we follow Jesus in death? And how does that effect the way we follow Jesus during our lives? Join us this morning as we finish up the Gospel of John and look at how Jesus instructs Peter about life and death.

Justice or forgiveness? Are these two opposing realities or can they come together? In the face of injustice we struggle to reconcile a desire for justice with any grace or forgiveness. Does the message of Jesus help us understand this at all? Can there be real and costly repentance and restoration? Join us as we look to the Gospel of John and Jesus' restoration of Peter to learn more.

What should we do when we struggle to believe? How do we handle it? How do we handle doubts? Join us as we look at the story of Thomas and his interaction with Jesus and learn how to believe again.

Jesus is Risen from the Dead! Now what? What does this small band of fearful disciples do now that their King is back? Do they immediately go overthrow the Roman Empire? What do they commit themselves to? And what does all of this mean for us? Join us as we learn about the most important things Jesus leaves for his followers, a manifesto of what life looks like after the resurrection.

Is hope simply blind optimism? In the face of death and brokenness, is there a way to avoid cynicism? We can only find real hope when we honestly approach the tomb, and discover that it's empty. He is Risen! Join us as we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus today and feast together!
