Once you become a christian, you are gifted to participate in the mission. It's not super spirituality, it's not for the advanced, it's for all who call on the name Jesus.

Prayer is an integral element in our faith. Yet, we often treat is as a secondary religious tradition. All through scripture prayer is modeled to us a continuous practice intended to draw us closer to God. Prayer should be understood as an essential part of our daily Christian lives.

Our despair can be doors to faith, to the Great Physician. And Jesus heals all our suffering and loves us in our suffering.

As Christians, we are called to a special kind of community. A community that is full of mercy and hospitality. 1 Timothy 5 reminds us that we are called to provide for our families. And as a Godly people we also attend to the needs of those who worship side by side with us each Sunday. The Church is truly a family. A family that is longing for connection and care.

The calling of the church is to preach the truth in a loving and clear way. God’s truths build up his people and protect them against false thinking and living. God’s people are not only called to know the truth but put it into daily practice and model it for other people.

Often the church can become focused on the wrong things. Paul shows us how the church is a “House of Prayer.” In prayer we lift up our community and our leaders to our King. In prayer we put away our anger and our divisions and lose ourselves in the power and plan of God.

What does the Bible say about leadership? Are spiritual leaders executives with brilliant strategies or are they spiritual guides that lead us to Jesus? 1 Timothy 3 shows us the qualities of leaders who reflect the brilliance and beauty of Jesus.

Many people think of the God of the Bible as judgmental and narrow. But Jesus shows us that God loves empathetically, sacrificially and with a never ending love that even death cannot stop. Jesus’ encounter with Lazarus shows us that God lavishes his people with an eternal love.

Jesus’ death completed his earthly mission. Jesus’ ministry is now complete, sufficient and powerfully able to rescue anybody who is willing to lay down their work to rest in his righteousness.

Jesus encounters people who are both wealthy and poor, powerful and powerless. Yet what they all have in common is that they’ve come upon their limitations and their desperate need for redemption. Jesus shows us how genuine faith can liberate us and set us on a path of healing and joy.
