El 83 por ciento de los latinos reconoce que Estados Unidos ofrece una mejor oportunidad de vida para sus hijos que en los países de donde sus familias son originarias, pero sienten que los lazos familiares son más fuertes en las naciones originarias.

Así lo revela una de las dos recientes encuestas del Pew Research Center sobre inmigración, otra de las cuales señala que 1 de cada 10 afroamericanos es inmigrante y ha aumentado la presencia de latinoamericanos en este grupo.

Mark Hugo Lopez, director de Investigación sobre Raza y Etnicidad en el Pew, amplía los hallazgos de ambos estudios y ofrece una perspectiva sobre dichas poblaciones.
