Learning a new language is never easy. But if you stick with it long enough, and you're immersed in the right community, before long, words and sentences will start to flow. Learning the language of the Gospel is no different. To be fluent, we have to start with the basics. 

The Gospel story starts with God -- you were created by God and belong to God. It ends with God together with His redeemed people. And right at the very middle, the hero-- God the Son Himself, Jesus Christ. The Gospel is the good news story we need to believe. Again and again and again.

To become fluent in a new language, you must immerse yourself in it and commit to practicing it, over and over again. You must use it everyday until you actually start to think about life through it. Becoming fluent in the gospel happens the same way—after believing it, we have to intentionally rehearse it (to ourselves and to others) and immerse ourselves in its truths. Only then will we start to see how everything in our lives, from the mundane to the magnificent, is transformed by the hope of the gospel.

Three years have absolutely flown by and we're ready to celebrate everything that God has done and is doing at CityLight South. With Jesus as our engine driving the ship, we are steady and safe, heading toward the prize of seeing Him face to face.
